I've been waiting to take this picture for the longest time. Finally a worthy Kaiser next to Daishogun.

Thanks GGG! That Aoshima Daishogun is a masterpiece, almost entirely diecast and weigh >1kg!! The SOC Kaiser is a worthy opponent!

I am curious, would any on you guys be interested in a translucent set of breast plates with an intricate design similar to the one used on the Metal Build Mazinger? You know, to simulate the breast fire effect?

You know, some 3D printed parts printed in clear acrylic with some translucent red paint so you have the option of using solid or translucent plates on your figure. Similar to the ones on the Sentinel Kaiser

I said how would you replace them? As in removing the old ones so you can put in the new ones? Considering people have already had them break, they don't seem like the type that can be removed. Unless you mean something that simply clips onto the existing ones.

Anyway, has anyone actually found any use for the articulated arm? The head for it only supports the ones that attach to Mazinkaiser directly, but because there's no rotation on any of them, you can't even use them to support him in any sort of pose where the torso is rotated - and for some reason, there's a socket on the Kaiser Scrander that fits a Tamashii Nation stand peg, but there's no such peg included so you can't even use it for that - unless you use the claw arm I guess.

Or do what I did and physically replace the end piece with one from a Tamashii stand.

I broke down and ordered great max to complete the trio. It's hard to do them justice on photographs especially given my poor setup consisting of a piece of paper, a phone, and a floor lamp. Anyways they look good together.

Guess who got his very first Mazinkaiser figure? Yup you have guessed correctly....it's me!

So not going to get into the whole love/hate relationship with Mazinkaiser now. Let's get on to this beautifully crafted piece from Bandai.

It took Bandai 17 years to finally bring Mazinkaiser to the Soul of Chogokin line and of course many of you had high expectations. I had none since I have not owned any figure related to this robot before this one. It's really good. I love the Kaiser and Final Kaiser Blade gimmicks that they added. 

Pros:
1- Heavy solid feel = Good diecast content
2- Fantastic paint application
3- Very flexible joints and good articulation
4- Comes with all of his signature weapons
5- Sculpt is accurate for his OVA appearance

Cons:
1- You don't really have TO remove the head to switch the face parts but it's easier if you do. I didn't remove it
2- Can't get the head to look up due to not having an extending neck design


That is about it. He looks really good. He will be the only Mazinkaiser in my collection. I do recommend him for fans of this robot. I am originally a fan of his first appearance in SRW F-Final and wish they made that version, or at least had the arms and legs blue like Mazinger but that's just nitpicking at this point and there's enough nitpicking going on in this forum already. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! ) anyway...enjoy the photos. Please don't share or re-use them without asking me first.

Sorry to hear that. This is actually a quite common issue for mazinkaiser. More photos from chinese forum. Please note each photo is from different user.

If you are a Yank and consider buying "this", buy from US stores...BBTS, Entertainment Earth and so forth.
They WILL either refund or exchange. Overseas? Not a chance.

For other bros, call your credit company or paypal and file a claim as a defect.
I never tried that myself, but worth a try. Id be so pissed by now.
