Opened mine 2 days ago, Thank God mine is in good condition. No broken parts. I'm sorry to hear some people got it broken. Hopefully there's real solution to this problem.

I just opened mine this morning. Didn't have time to display it, but do to QC issue, I decided to open it for inspection.
Mine has no broken part, but it's VERY fragile. When I touch it, it moves a bit, for a part that is not supposed to move. Applying a bit of force will brake it for sure.

When I touch it, it moves a bit Dude, are you nuts? Don't touch it, don't look at it, don't even picture it in your mind or it will break.

For those of you who want it, I just finished a replacement set of pins for the breast plates. The piece replaces the pin part and the small plate holding the pin and can be 3D printed in steel. I know it's not the solution you guys wanted but will somewhat fix the issue if Bandai decides not to issue the replacements. Due to hurricane Irma, I will not be able to upload them probably till Tuesday. After that, they will be available to buy at Shapeways. This will requiere removing the existing pin plate, no easy task if they glued the part correctly but it's better than nothing at this point

Are you going to do the plates too?

I believe I am going to return my figure to the seller (if eBay says so to my favor) and get a new one, maybe from Japan, but whether I am returning it 'n gettin' a new one or keeping it... for sure I want your pin set! I have to be honest and say that I screwed that lil' built-in golden joint-ball a bit but I truly don't give a damn if the fire blaster will move or not. All what I want is to see symmetry when I look at the 2 chest plates. I will send you my PayPal address in a message, shortly, so you'd send me an invoice (I live in Egypt), bro. Thanks a lot!

I have to say I love the figure! He's a badass looking Kaiser despite the silly way of using his gimmicks... but that broken Fire Blaster makes me hate just looking at him. By the way, before I purchase GX-75, I watched many video reviews on YouTube. Most of them were Japanese but none of them had or even mentioned the Fire Blaster issue! However, after I got my figure from eBay Hong Kong, the seller informed me later that there are many reports about that issue in Hong Kong and China. I am not really sure what's going on here? Do we have some batches with fragile parts and sloppy paint distributed in some parts of the world and others (mainly in Japan) without any QC issues? I also think the international shipping has something to do with the problem (causing the damage), so, Bandai should secure the packaging of the figure better than this or maybe they should separate the chest plates and let us install 'em after we unbox him. Still no word from Bandai 'bout this?

Maybe it was just crappy shipping/packaging. I got mine from Japan and I had no problems either.

The part is made to be movable I think, except it's made of very cheap plastic. So if too much force is applied, it will break. And too much force with Mazinkaiser is barely touching him.

Eek...given all the QC issues, I will have to open mine pronto tonight to see if there is anything wrong with it.

Checked the part and no issues. Still, memo to me to use extra kiddie gloves when handling this figure...

Maybe it was just crappy shipping/packaging. I got mine from Japan and I had no problems either. I had the same thought that it could be the shipping, but, how come? I mean... the figure is well secured in its styrofoam. Some people had their plates already broken (like me) without touching it, and, others got theirs broken after they touched it! So, whatever the case is...it is a QC issue. Bandai really must send replacement parts to who have got that bloody issue.

I realize the defect with the broken chest plate has affected a few of you here. I know the feeling all too well even if it didn't happen with this figure, it's happened to me quite a few times (CM's Grendizer anyone?)
But ...this is still a thread about SOC GX-75 Mazinkaiser right? This forum and Instagram are basically my only outlet for talking/sharing about these collectibles...and I'm sure the same can be said for the majority of you guys here.
That is why it baffles me why a decent post about an undamaged Mazinkaiser with detailed photos would be completely and utterly ignored. This is not the first time this happened here but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Are my photos bad? are they good? do you hate them? do you like them? honestly anything is better than being ignored.
