I'm working on a comic with some friends called Super Robot Mayhem, It's inspired by Super Robot Manga like Shin Mazinger, Evangelion, Gundam and other Cyberpunk storied like Akira and Ghost in the Shell. We even have one of the artists who worked on the Ghost in the Shell logo helping out. It would be great if you could take a look and let me know what you think Attachment Deleted

We've just hit our goal of £3000 after a few days and have another 27 days left to go. I'd love to know what you think of the artwork and if you have any ideas of what you'd like to see in it. We wanted to make a comic as original as possible and give a modern take on Super Robots. You can follow the project here www.superrobotmayhem.com/images/super robot mayhem comic.jpg[/img] www.superrobotmayhem.com/images/Super Robot Mayhem and Subversive Comics.jpg[/img]

Super Robot is a pretty specific part of the genre. From the images so far these don't really hit the mark. I think another title would represent the art style better.

Congrats! This is something i wanted to do for a while so Dont reveal too much haha.
The art work looks good! Yeah it is very hard to be original AND stay true to the root.......namely Go Nagai. Koreans STILL have the hardest time getting in on the action. How do you do a Super Robot without looking like you straight lifted from Go Nagai or even any Japanese mecha anime...very very hard if not almost impossible.
Pacific Rim and maybe Bayformer had some success but they lack that charm of the OG robots... Look at new Voltron....design wise, its a Good try but it doesnt hold candles to the original...IMHO of course. But dont call me sentimental, as i much MUCH prefer the new take on most of Marvel license to the original suits.
Keep going, Go wild, have fun! make the bad guys bizzare even sillly! You seen the source, back in the days, they had good stuff to come up with some of tjose crazy bad guys lol. They had fun!

Also, the title sounds very generic. But it does look interesting. PS : And sorry to be that guy, but unless you're making diecast figures, isn't that thread in the wrong section?

I want apologize for my previous post. My belief about the naming should in no way be a problem for you. It's my problem.
You guys are incredible for having the passion to pursue your dreams and turn them into reality. More power to you! I hope the project opens new doors for you and gives you great opportunities to grow as artist, storytellers, and entertainers! Congratulations!!!

I actually bought PDFs of their previous comics, Metal Made Flesh, which was great - had a gritty cyberpunk feel - like 2000AD for Heavy Metal mag.
Now they just need a super robot stretch goal!

Also, Is the comic available for physical purchase or download? Or, do you have to contribute to the campaign? I'm active on Google+. The SR fans there are a different demographic than on RJ. They're younger. Instead of buying Gokins, they're really into manga and anime. I think they would be interested in this. I'd like a little more info. Then, I'll post some pics and your link on the communities to which I contribute. Thanks!
