I bought a factory sealed Sun Vulcan on eBay this morning. I'm really excited! There's nothing like a nice vintage robot. I have no experience with this gokin. Is there anything I should know? Are there any fragile parts? I don't want to mess this thing up!

He received it as a gift from a 70 year old man several years ago. He saved it for his son, who is now 14. His kid is into sports, and he didn't care about a robot. It came at no cost to the seller, so I offered $410... and he took it. I'm extremely pleased.

Any blue plastic is by nature fragile. But from my experience handling about a half dozen of these loose, your main concerns are the tabs that hold the chest parts closed.

My Sun Vulcan arrived with a broken yellow track to collapse the right leg. It was insured, so I filed a claim for the damage with the USPS. What a pain! Anyways, I'm looking for a replacement piece. If anybody has one and is willing to sell, I'll make it worth your time. If you only will sell a Bull Vulcan for parts, I'm willing to negotiate. If you can help, please send a message. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Oh crap! Sorry to hear. That sucks. I *might* have a spare loose one I can consider letting go, and then you can just open it up and swap the part. Let me check.

Also, one of the little yellow pieces that holds Bull Vulcan together snapped when I tried to connect the two sides. Unfortunately, 30+ year old Chogokin that have never been transformed are beautiful, but also brittle.

. Check out my video on Sun Vulcan. Both the clips to hold the cranes together, and clips on the jet to hold covers closed can be fragile. Hope this helps.

Its an easy repair too for both, once you get the spare parts. If you don't feel up to it, I can do it. Let me know and hope you get it back to 100%.

This was actually the 2nd time I watched it. The first viewing it got me excited for my Godaikin's arrival! I didn't realize that Sun Vulcan was the 1st transforming Megazord. Very interesting. Also, I should have heeded your advice on the leg clips. I thought, "The clips on my Dynaman and Goggle V don't seem fragile." Wouldn't you know, the one on top snapped right away. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until I get a new leg to form Bull Vulcan. Often, I do wind up hunting down some parts. I very much appreciate your offer to help me fix it. But, I'm pretty comfortable with these. They can be fun to work on. I fiddled with the yellow track that had snapped on the right leg, and was able to form the robot. It's gorgeous, and I'm so glad to have it. Very rarely is a Godaikin absolutely perfect. Eventually, this one will be. All in good time....

Cool. Thanks on my video. No Sun Vulcan is only the first combining megazord, not transforming. The first 4 megazords were single robots that transformed from jets or ships. Sun Vulcan got to be the first combiner. And yes gotta love Sun Vulcan. Great robot. Hope you get him fixed.
