Hi, I actually searched before posting and found this interesting thread from 2013 robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/21340/help-restoring-battle-shark-pbMr. Ginrai gave some good advice as usual.... but I'm not familiar with "alclad, or something like bare-metal foil for hobbyists". Has anyone tried using it? How did it go? Regarding chrome, there are 2 types mainly the shiny/mirror chrome and then the more matte chrome like on this Battle Shark. Incidentally I have the same need to add some silver chrome to that button on the top of a Battle Shark as the poster in the thread above! I think spray paint might be a good choice for it but when I look on amazon I see a lot of options. Has anyone any positive (or negative) experiences to share regarding chrome paint brand and technique? Thanks!

There are some new techniques I am looking into, they are not cheap but possibly more manageable than bare-metal and alclad.
I'll update you as I get more info.
