ok, I'm new but I know that in this forum there are some great collectors so I have a question and I'd like to know what you think about this... everybody saw that battle convoy got the same color scheme of robotman, so we can say that battle convoy is the diaclon robotman...it' possible that, in takara's plan, powered convoy is the 'son/combination of robotman 2/god? infact the powered cab has a blue body like robotman2... and did you notice that the drivers that come with battle convoy are red, yellow and blue, just like the first microman released..?
and in microforever I red that the great robot base was made by the same designer of punch robot...do you know how designed dia-attacker? it's very similar to punch robot in some ways...the transformations of the legs are a little bit evoluted but the concept is the same,,,the veichle mode is verys imilar,,and the concept art show a d-attacker whit red head, just like punch robo...it's possible that both grat robot base and dia-attacker was designed by the same artist who made punch robo?...I love takara world!

The people who designed the look of the Diaclone toys were not the same people who designed the transformations and dimensions. Shoji Kawamori (of Macross fame) was one of the artists who designed the look of these toys, but I have no idea who else was involved. Delphion Intellectual Properties has a few of the Diaclone copyrights available in their database. Just search under "Takara Ltd." You'll find some designers' names there. Incidentally, the original idea behind Powered Convoy was that he was going to be a suped up version of Battle Convoy. They're supposed to be the same mecha. I have no idea when or where the idea to repaint the cab came from.
