Just a little FYI but this actual Mechagodzilla design actually never shows up in the movie, it was replaced with the more rounded version. This is why this is called the Poster version of Mechagodzilla because that's the only place you see this design, most likely because the painter didn't have the actual movie design but only a concept explaining what the Mechagodzilla design would be. I actually prefer this version over the one we got. LOL

Just got this in today from EKnight. Just realizing, this is literally the ONLY iteration of this figure that exists outside of the artwork. Doubtful there will be another either, seeing as this is really a niche design. In any case, great one to add to the collection.

Great job on the review. I have always liked the art work from the Godzilla posters and think this is the superior version of Mechagodzilla than the one we got in the movie. The movie version isn't bad but this design upgrades the classic showa design pretty well.

Today, finally, I get mine. It's a beautiful display piece, a true gokin. Paint is perfect, there is a lot of care for small details. Transformation is a bit tricky, not too complex but attaching the garuda could be a pain. Range of articulation is pretty good for a combiner, I'd like a bit more movement in the waist but otherwise is Good. Really loving it

Nice!! Congratulation.
It sure looks like a real quality piece. Tons of metal everywhere.

I just got this figure and I am quite impressed. Got a good price on a new one which made it even sweeter. Some specs: At the head: 17.5cm Backpack: 22cm Wingspan: 24cm Weight: 446g, almost as much as SOC Mazinkaiser w/o Scrander (454g)! Excellent paint and details. Despite limited articulation it is still impressive due to the transformation/combination and lack of kibble and seams/gaps. A lot of thought and love went into the design for sure. Only Godzilla related figure I own, only because I'm a sucker for gokin.
