This one is looking really awesome, and in the Chogokin line! I think this one was in the 1993 Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla? Might be mistaken, but this thing can separate and combine! Damn!! September 2017! Source:

Probably a bit more metal than the standard SHMA Mecha G's as they do market it specifically as Chogokin. But damn man, you returned the SHMA because of metal content? You missed out of some of the finest robots Bandai ever made. Especially the Kiryu's, which I think have the lowest metal content, but the most amazing jointing and detail. Moguera has a ton of metal. About on par with an SRC.

yeah i would have kept it if it mostly was ABS, but i had to draw the line on its heavy PVC contents. Dont get me wrong, SHF Kiryu IS a beautiful figure. Its just that I just HATE too much PVC in my figure... Because i AM in hobby that does unfortunately go hand in hand with usage of PVC, I'm not expecting complete absence of it but i have drawn the line if its over say 30 percent of the toy.
I also returned Robot Soul few years ago due to the same "peculiar" reason. I recently gave ROBOT Soul another chance, it had over 90 percent quality ABS! The ANIME line is anyway. Though no metal, Im happy with my two ANIME Robot Soul. someday if i see a character i love, ill give SHF another go when my wallet gains back its weight.
Bandai better make it a ABS figure with few token metal thrown in if it loves me like it says it does.

I've been wanting a Mechagodzilla and this looks like it'll be the one, since I missed out on the others and not really wanted them enough to pay secondary prices. What size/scale is the Chogokin line usually? Any ideas on whether its regular or web ex release (I'm guessing web)? POs up soon-ish?

There are no specific size range for the figures in the Chogokin line, however they are usually around 20cm+. :Generally for larger characters such as Mega Godzilla) I kind a like this one too, but not so much a Godzilla fan...

A 'Poster ver.' Godzilla 1993 S.H. Monsterarts will be released alongside with this as a matching pair. Judging by how the S.H.Monsterarts line is pretty in scale, you can estimate how big this Mechagodzilla is, which is probably not that big.

So around 6-7", since the SH lines are around the same height. I wonder how much partsforming will be involved in the combination gimmick, or where the diecast will be. 16000Y seems a little pricey, but I guess that could depend on what else is going to be in the box.

This finally went up for preorder. It IS a Web Exclusive, 17cm, combines without parts swapping, and has minimal extras (a stand and comic). 18000 yen (every shop I've checked is priced to include the sales tax give or take) is a bit hard to swallow for that...

Id really like to know where the metal is? The fact that Bandai is not touting it is not a good sign....
Usually, id think if therere meaningful metal count, they would be promoting it as much. Especially showing off the naked cut.

Considering its only 17cm tall and splits into three pieces, there really isn't much room to put diecast. Likely just the joints and probably the feet.

Holy smokes that's actually a lot of diecast. This boy's gonna be a fatty. That metal content helps make the price tag sting a little less. Where are these photos from, anyway?
Also, this guy is up on The Chosen Prime for a good price and would qualify for free US shipping.

So I just got mine and the little comic is kinda cute. You can get the gist of it since its fairly simple, but I was wondering if anyone had heard about an english translation for it.

Just a little FYI but this actual Mechagodzilla design actually never shows up in the movie, it was replaced with the more rounded version. This is why this is called the Poster version of Mechagodzilla because that's the only place you see this design, most likely because the painter didn't have the actual movie design but only a concept explaining what the Mechagodzilla design would be.

Haha, yeah, they actually go over that in the little minicomic and how (presumably) this fig's designer as a child was disappointed at the actual on-screen Mecha-G when he was expecting the poster version.
