1/100 High Resolution Model Wing Gundam Zero EW THIS IS NOT THE METAL COMPOSITE VER. This is like a prebuild naked mecha frame , and you will be assembling the head ,armors , weapons for it. The end result should look very good straight build out if the box. The Wing Gundam Zero from the "Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz" OVA gets a spectacular High Resolution Model release from Bandai! It features a pre-built inner posable frame made with resin and metal parts for stability, and it's armed with the Twin Buster Rifle, two Beam Sabers, and its shield. Well this is not a replacement for the metal composite, its more of a alternative or extra to the metal composite wing zero. Its styling is different too. I brought their other hi-rez so ill get this too .

It looks very good. it's just more expensive. here's a 3 part review of it from youtube. the 1st part is about the inter frame.

Would you say it has the joint integrity to be classified as action figure or does it need to be still treated as fragile kit?

But in this case the internal frame is already build and detailed. The joints feel like a metal composite unicorn, it's mostly because there's diecast in them and yet there' many small parts so you shouldn't really treat it as a action figure . It's not a fragile kit. but it's no action figure.

I've found the Hi-Res Barbatos frame to be too loose for the weight...It's fine if it was the inner frame by itself, but once you add all the armor pieces it just doesn't hold very well, especially the knee joints. Posing is limited because of that, so I end up having it in a basic standing pose. The armor pieces can be fiddly too, very prone to popping off. Hope they improve on the joint tightness for the WCZ.

Video review is up. You know, it's a model kit. Honestly, I don't expect a model to play or hold up like a regular action figure. Build it, pose it and set it aside. Parts falling off is expected. At the end of the day it looks good. Especially for a straight up out of the box build, without the need to paint or decal and detailing. But I am glad to have ordered the metal build/GFFMC version. Cause I wanted a action figure.

What makes something a model kit???
Years ago, Bandai had a line called Chogokin Metal Material Model for Gundam Seed. It is the predecessor of Metal Build in my opinion. It has a sturdy metal frame. But you need to assemble the outer pieces, which are already cut (no runner) and painted.
This High Resolution Line is sort of like that with a pre-built frame. But you have to cut the outer pieces out from the runner. I wish these outer pieces are already cut...
