Help with Popy Golion disassembly

Hi guys,

Would any of you know how to disassemble the red or green lion elbow joint?
There is a screw in the middle of the joint, but even when unscrewed, the elbows don't separate.
I even unscrewed the red & green lion body, but it still wont separate into two parts, eventhough there is a seam running down the body.

Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to replace a broken elbow joint.

there is a piece inside the joint you need to push out then pull apart, the body is probably stuck together because there are pins inside that push into a hole and getstuck from the paint, you should be able to shim a wedge in between the body parts to slowly spread them apart, use a plastic spreader or guitar pick to slip in the seam don't use metal
