reissue stand alone gold and silver cyborgs and green KW now on yahoo jp, seems that each has 2 hand weapons, green walder appears to have the 'venom injector' ie snakes type hand and perhaps the spiky corkscrew type alien hand, this suggests that red walder has the big sucker and the cool skull head hand, im assuming this as takara website had images of casts of hand weapons for both walder and cyborg. What is gonna drive us all nuts is that it seems that walder is already totally sold out, like the dokuroking! I personally like the look of the red walder over the 'traditional' green, it gives it a venemous/poisonous look as does the purple version, also will look cool next to (if we could be so lucky) walder II magma. Just wish takara had included each figure with all 4 weapons to avoid having to hunt them all down!!

Hi CBC, Dokoro King search: search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/search?sb=desc&desc=%a5%c9%a5%af%a5%ed%a5%ad%a5%f3%a5%b0&auccat=0&acc=jp&f=0x12&alocale=0jp&mode=1Get in touch with M-world service; I preordered the green KW with him last week. I have a UK supplier (tripitaka toys) who is getting me the red KW and the gold HC but he is only getting one green KW and that's already spoken for. Needless to say, the green KW will cost me as much as the other two together. There is some confusion; M-world says they aren't out yet, but they are there on YJ. I have actually seen a Dokuro King on Ebay - the first to my knowledge - 50GBP starting price; 100GBP buy it now! The first pictures I saw of the red KW had yellow guts like the vintage purple and yellow figures, but it looks like they've changed the guts to purple. I agree; the red one looks nice.

hi Hypno, have you used m world service before? I know people who have used it, in practice is it a complicated procedure?

I have used M-World many times! He is not cheap, so I tend to use him to preorder stuff that I think won't come up cheap on ebay later (this is bit of a guessing game). He is, however, completely reliable and trustworthy. He never knows the postage rate until he has the item in hand, so you either have to pay him twice, item first, then postage, (2x paypal fee) or you have to send a generous over-estimate to cover the post. I do the latter, and so I always have a few yen leftover as credit for next time. I have just heard from him that my green KW is in hand. I had forgotten that you are in the UK, CBC, aren't you? Get in touch with Tripitakatoys QUICKLY and you might just bagsy the 2 HCs and the red KW in time.

well im down on the green!! BUT got the red walder and gold and silver cyborg. The red is totally cool but its a shame that they didnt use the yellow innards, instead its metallic blue like green walders?? The weapons are the super cool skull like globular type and really odd tentacled sucker. These fit nicely and moulded in soft plastic. The toy is a bit stiffer than dokuroking and im thinking there is continuous variation in the looseness of these toys as ive found that the gold cyborg is rather loose with the legs in particular easily separated from the pelvic region unlike say the very secure shonen and king walder reissues. The boxes contain the same booklet as in dokuroking box. Its just so great to be able to get a 12" 'muton' in red and with 'new' hand weapons, only 12 months ago I was thinking that i'd never even see a king walder for real.

back on the cyborg, ive yet to open the silver but the gold one seems to have a slightly miscast neck section, maybe they are all like this but i initially thought the head was glued to the neck as it was so tigtly stuck The head has no neck to speak of and the opening seems a bit thick and untidy compared to the tidy walder and shonen cyborg reissue. I also see that cyborg does have the same head shape as uk cyborg and that it is very similar to microman command 3.

Thanks for the mini review, CBC, but no pictures? My red KW and gold HC have arrived but Mrs. Hypnotator has put them away for Christmas, so I’m keen to see pictures. I know exactly where they are in the cupboard, but that would spoil the surprise. You’ve got me a bit concerned about flaws and I’ll be nagging Mrs. Hypnotator to scrutinise them. So you already have a Dokuro King? Shall I then announce to the board in general that Tripitakatoys has/had one more in stock? Oops, too late; I just did. It’s probably already gone anyway. My Dokuro King was nice and stiff (ooer pardon the innuendo) so I think this varies from figure to figure. The guts on the red one looked purple in the picture I saw, so this must be the blue seen through the transparent red. I thought it looked better than the yellow. I’m looking forward to the weapons, although I probably won’t be displaying them. My vintage HC’s head is identical to UK Cyborg’s but bigger, and yes, Command 3 could be the same character. They really should do a Microforce Cyborg.

hi Hypno, how do i post a picture? Do i need a picture server, or whatever thay are called? I'd be happy to post pics of red walder, overall the quality is perfectly acceptable, for some reason the cyborgs seem a bit flimsier but whos complaining.

To post pictures, go to www.photobucket.comand set up an account; it's straightforward. Once you have posted pictures there, you get an image file address, at the bottom under each picture. Paste this address into your RJ posting and the picture will magically appear. If it's too big, you can go back to photobucket and resize it. It will update automatically on RJ. I look forward to seeing pics!

Lovely pics, CBC; thanks for posting! I really appreciate seeing other people's toy photos. For me it's one of the best things about this site. Glad you managed to bagsy the green one too. I'm looking forward to Xmas now. I'm also starting to plan the reshuffle in my glass case that three 12" figures will necessitate. There are still a few tokusatsus mixed in on my Cyborg shelf but they'll be moving and I'll have a "pure" Cyborg shelf. It's nice to have issues of earth-shaking importance to occupy my mind.

Hey, how are you guys buying this stuff on yahoo japan?
I have a friend there, but he's really busy and I hate asking him to do this stuff, it's a pain for him.
The middleman services are really expensive, and this guy donkey35 or whatever on this board also has inflated rates. There are sellers who would ship internationally and he insisted that it had to be shipped to him first! What he charges for shipping to his house and for bank transfers is higher than the actual costs. I don't mind paying commissions I just hate when people pretend costs are higher than they are.
How do you guys do it?

Hi Johnny! I've never bought anything on YJ. I have bought a lot of stuff from M-world Service, but I've never used his YJ service. He's expensive enough to buy direct from! I'm well aware that the additional costs are high and I'm waiting for a time when I'm rich enough, if it ever happens. It has occured to me to pester a friend whose wife is Japanese, or my wife's friend who is in Japan but speaks no Japanese, maybe his Japanese girlfriend can help, but these are peipheral people in my life, and I don't want to bother them, plus they don't know about or understand my nerdy hobby. Sorry to be of little use, but it seems to me that the only way is to either have a good contact there or to cough up the phenomenal fees.

How does it work, the site doesn't seem to specify - you tell them what you want, where to buy it? And you pay in advance? How do I know where to buy it? Do you know of any good stores in japan with websites? The only stores I know have english service (amenbo and kaikodo.net) Their fee seems tolerable. Is it 15,00 yen per item or per order below 9999 yen?
I'm looking for a smoke and a yellow neohenshin cyborg, a blue cyborg 99, a satan king vinyl statue and microman reissue stuff.

hi Johnnyhaggis, you should see blue cyborg 99 on ebay often enough, there were 2 on recently, also the vinyl walders are quite common and often sell cheap ($15), theres also loads of reissue microman on ebay all the time, what are you after, ive got most of the reissue stuff and may need to make room for the bigger cyborgs. Ive been using tripitaka toys for cyborg stuff recently, its a pity that we seem to have to scramble for the cyborg stuff.
