It was announced a long time ago, but if there ever was a mention of it here, it's well hidden and deeply buried. We have a "robot video games" thread, but since this sub-forum is so dead I chose to give that game its own. Kyoei Toshi (City Shrouded in Shadow), by Granzella, is basically Disaster Report (the developer's flagship series) with kaijus and giant robots. The game puts you in the shoes of an average Joe (or Jane) whose city is being ravaged by the ongoing battle between various giant monsters, robots and super-powered heroes from franchises such as Godzilla, Patlabor, Ultraman and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Powerless, you have to do what you can to survive and escape the surrounding chaos caused by the gigantic beings. Think "Cloverfield : the game". Some of the characters shown in trailers so far include : - Godzilla, King Gidora, Mothra, Battra and Kiryu (Mechagodzilla)
- Gamera and the Gyaos
- EVA-01 and Zachiel, from Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Patlabor Units 1 (Alphonse), 2 and the J-9 Griffon
- A bunch of Ultramen and their enemies
- Various smaller monsters
The graphics seem like a mixed bag, at times looking more like a PS3 remaster than a triple-A PS4 release, but the concept (Disaster Report with licensed giant monsters) makes it a winner to me. Coming to the Playstation 4 in Japan on October 19. No English release announced at this time. It's unlikely, but with the subtitled Asian release of Super Robot Wars V, who knows...

Ooh, I remember seeing this when it was first announced, and then totally forgot about it. Thanks for posting!
Now to hope for a localized release...
