Hello RJ bros! My bestfriend is having a major milestone birthday coming up and since he is an Iron Man fan, as well as a Jp diecast robot fan, I was planning on giving him a diecast Iron Man figure for his big day. I would like it to be: - Diecast - Brand new sealed - Readily available for purchase now (on sale or clearance - even better) - Up to ~$200 budget Which brands/lines are even diecast? I'd appreciate all the leads. Thanks in advance, zman

From my personal experience, I Would stay far AWAY from Comicave ones. Igor's shoulder would just fall off from its own diecast weight... Id really stay away from other smaller brand diecast iron man. I "heard" many QC issues.
Sentinel Re Edit War Machine i have is flawless... There is Bandai SHF ones with minimal diecast but i think they SHOULD be pretty solid as far as quality goes. The price is nice too.

Ok after doing a brief research, it seems like I can go with SHF, King Arts, or Hot Toys. With Hot Toys being the tallest, I believe, but it is hard to determine which one is diecast. Is there a model code for diecast Hot Toys? Is there an Iron Man in my budget?

King Arts also ran into some problems with joint QC..
Hot Toys diecast Iron Mans have moniker Diecast on it. They run around $350 each... Previous ones have issue where red underware has a long term color fade out. Also they have very ugly shoulder joints if viewed in "wrong" angle/pose. Huge gap between the shoulder armor and the very obvious looking friction ball joint all out in the opened...its jarring to see that when everything else about the figure looks so realistic.
Most SHF ironman has atleast diecast feet from what i hear. I havent heard any serious issues with them. I don't collect SHF because they use too much PVC for my liking.

HT is out of my budget.
Are there any good shops for the KA besides BBTS and eBay?

I have the HT Toys Iron New England as well. But, as for the other iterations of Iron Man with gokin, I think the best bet are the S.H. Figuarts. Given your budget, I would recommend buying a 2-3 of them and voila.

I guess given your budget, Hot Toys is out. So, it's really between King Arts and Bandai Figuarts. Just depends on which direction you want to go. I have the latter and can't really complain but again, if it's a larger figure you think will be better, then go for the former. The reviews from the crew in here and online can give you an idea of the quality.

Does it have diecast? This is what I see per Sentinel’s website>>> Material: ABS/ATBC-PVC/PA/POM ————————— Ok after a brief googling, it turns out some do have diecast. Do you know how much diecast? Also, what is the scale? It looks smaller than King Arts.

I only have HT and Sentinel Re:Edit, one of each. I tried Comicave and it wasnt good...fool me once. KA i hear QC issues so i passed.
The only reputable option left is SHF if folks want a name brand high-end diecast collectable. I have SHF TMNT and it is phenomenal.

King Arts would be a great start. I recently bought the Mark 5 at bbts and I cannot be more happy with it. I have a few SHFs, but the diecast is very minimal.
You can buy the mark 4 for just 179.99 at bbts. Give it a chance :-)
You are basically getting a 9 1/2-10 inch figure with substantial diecast if you decide on King Arts

plus the detail is so much better than the SHF or Sentinel. Sentinel is awesome, but no diecast

If you want a poseable diecast brick original Hot Toys War Machine is the best! That thing is HEAVY!
