How's the quality of the launcher set? Hi-Nu any issue holding it or being too heavy? The Fin Funnel effects parts are good? The Launcher's paint job is decent, on par with the metal builds. Hi-nu can hold it no problem with two hands without the support, but I put it there anyway. Fin Funnel effects are thin hard plastic. I am yet trying it on. It looks pretty good though. Will have picture too. Good to hear. Definitely anticipating the launch to land, to set up my Hi-Nu all decked out, since I plan to use the new purple stand. And then the huge Nightingale. Its gonna be epic They are kind of the highlight of my Robot Damashiis. While there are plenty cool ones and exclusives and I acquired a few, Hi-Nu and Nightingale has always been the elusive pair I never had a toy form of until this past year. As a UC guy, these two naturally became a focal point of my Damashii collection. And since I knew about the launcher from the manga, Hi-Nu feels incomplete without it, so haven't open it to this day. But I am counting the days until it arrive.

Actually looking closely this morning, i think only the metallic color are paint job, and the blue shade parts are part separation with true color and just covered by matte top coating. Similar to MB EVA 02 red parts with true red plastic with pearl coating (I think... I can be wrong, not a pro to really tell). Regardless, the launcher finish is smooth and on part to metal build's standard.

Gotta say this Metal Robot Spirit Hi-Nu Beltorchika's Children + Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher set is pretty badass. Very strong presence regardless the small size. The launcher is actually 12 inches long. Here are some quick Pros & Cons of the 2: Hi-Nu Gundam+ Much improved sculpt from previous versions. + Figure fully painted, even though the purple is bare plastic with clear coat (still painted ;D). + Tight joints all over with good consistancy. Attachments are tight. No floppy Fin Funnels falling off. + Metal internal frame adds good weight, regardless small size. Feels premium. - Some sloppiness in paintjob, occasional dirt spots or not very clean panel lining. - Articulation not the best, enough for most part, but not on par with any current Robot Damashii stuff. Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher Set+ Launcher look very slick and very long. Clean paintjob. No metal, but works better due to less weight. + Very nice articulated swivel & sliding grips so Hi-Nu can pose grabbing launcher comfortable with both hands. + Fin Funnels support and effects parts look awesome on Hi-Nu. Ball joints very tight, won't flop. + Display stand works pretty well supporting the figure and the gun. - Fin Funnel effects parts don't sit tight on the funnel, can fall off with some shake. Very thin. - The clear ball joint arms can get very tight that you need to put them on right the first try. Removing them can cause the plastic to snap or stress. All in all, this is a very satisfying set. Overpriced for sure, especially the Launcher set. But when combined, it is one of the coolest Robot Damashii in the market. Figure feels very solid and premium (in Damashii), but needs some care posing so you don't scratch the paint or matte clearcoat. The backpack with all the fuel tanks, thrusters, and clear Funnel support arms also take some patience and caution to put together without breaking or snapping some of them. This figure needs to be treated more as a display piece due to all the gear and accessories hanging around. Put on Funnels, set up the Launcher, tighten the support arms (screws), then admire this beast in awe and satisfaction. You can switch out some weapons and poses every now and then no problem. Not for budget collectors due to both being Web Exclusives with an overpriced accessory pack. But if price is not a big concern, and you don't need to 'play' with it a lot, this is an awesome set and a combo you don't see very often in toy form.

I'm still salty this wasn't a metal build and leaves me conflicted whether to spend the pretty penny on this in case they decide to do IBO gundams in metal build someday

As a metal build may never happen. IBO wasn't a super big hit in Japan and their metal build is currently stuck on 00 and SEED designs. I sure wish they would do other 00 designs other than Exia / 00 gundam variants. I want a whole Celestial Being team, but they refuse to do them.

Well, it looks like they are doing a Metal Build Dynames Repair III and a Metal Build Justice Gundam, probably sometime in 2021. So, it seems they are at least dipping their toes into giving other suits the Metal Build treatment. The fact is, the Metal Build line is extremely popular, and they are literally running out of "main character suits" to give the Metal Build treatment to, so that probably factored into them finally giving other suits that are not just recolors of "main character suits"--see F91 Harrison Madin and Destiny Heine--renditions.

Im awaiting this. Im disappointed this were not MB releases. Outside 00, seed and wing and UC I'd say that IBO is next in the line for a MB treatment. AGE, turn A, G gundam, reconquista and after war are far less popular unfortunately. I'd love to see some of those main suits released, especially God gundam, Turn A and AGE FX (MB or GFFMC would be the same)
