I guess that problem is also found on most Macross figures : why not a more solid connection for the arms in jet mode? Is it that hard to use real full-lenght pegs? Otherwise, it's a fantastic figure.

What do you mean specifically?

The arms don't lock at all, peg is way too short between the arms and the arms don't lock to the body of the jet either in jet mode.

oh I think I know what you mean.
In fighter mode the arms keep droping down having the gun pod drag on the floor?
yeah you're right its pretty minor, I've learned to live with it. Some Valks don't have that issue though, like my VF-1A Max J.

Huh. I don't think this has ever happened with my VF-1A before. Either that or I haven't been paying that close of attention to it.

They don't drop, but they don't really stay put either when you "play" with it.

Come to think of it, I don't really play with it much anyway. It just kinda sits there on the shelf looking bad-ass. The GERWALK and Guardian modes, on the other hand get a lot of airtime.

Yeah the gunpod does have the tendency to sag in fighter mode even on display. My VF-1S Roy F. has that problem but then again it has its strike armor on so that may indulge this occurrence even more
***edited***
Actually when the Valk has its armor on you have to squeeze the legs a little bit both when you pick it up and when you let it down so that the peg stays in place
However, without the armor its fine and is quite a tight fit.

And I thought I was being picky ...but my VF-1 arms are just fine. And my gunpod doesn't make them droop either. When I snap the legs into place just right in fighter mode - all tabs in place and all ratchet-joints clicked into the correct position, the arms remain snug. And of course, with the armour in place, the fit is even tighter. As a design, I think Yamato has already done enough using "indents" instead of pegs - pegs would've been too obvious when not in fighter-mode...

Good ol' nail polish. Fixes all loose joints nicely.
