**CROSS POST**
So with this being my first go at higher-ended Macross stuff, I didn't know that this was the first DX Chogokin that was 1/48 until I asked a friend before snapping up the VF-19 Advance last night. Is this a one off or the svale going forward? It's unfortunate that I need to hold off on some really nice looking valks bc of this.

Is this a one off or the svale going forward? It's unfortunate that I need to hold off on some really nice looking valks bc of this. Knowing Bandai, they’re going to milk this mold since there are so many variants of the VF-1. Welcome to the wallet destroying world of Macross! My Macross collection outnumbers all of my others in volume.

to quote "Parker" from the movie ALIEN; "It's... -I Don't Know- It's just... BIG!!" it is, without question, the VF-1 toy i've been waiting my life for. it's proportions are PERFECT. IN ALL THREE MODES. oh, and WHAT A SATISFYING HEFT. that leg weight, supported by such a spindly hip bar assembly, seems disturbingly delicate, but the metal throughout seems of top quality. hell, the metal feet are resonant, and ring when struck. only time will tell, of course, but the quality seems positively peerless, easily the closest to the rugged, reassuring quality of the TAKATOKU/BANDAI 1/55 Chunky any modern VF-1 toy has ever come, and, perhaps, ever will. i don't know how BANDAI did it, but they certainly did, and how. the proof of miracles is sitting right here, staring me straight in the face...

Got the full breakdown article and gallery for the Bandai Tamashii DX Chogokin VF-1J is up: kumastyledesigns.com/bandai-dx-vf-1j-review/ Pretty much had to give this one a 10/10. This thing just knocks it out from top-to-bottom and even without an attachment to Macross there's no way that you can't see how good of a piece this one is. The article breaks it down piece-by-piece per normal, but here are some pics from the gallery portion (Full galla approx 30 pics:)

Hi guys - I think its best if we just stick with one thread as for sure we would have multiple VF1 releases. Anyway, looking at the pages back, man the VF1J was much more easier to PO than VF1A Max, CDjapan lasting for a good hour but for the VF1A - the website was crashing - I do believe this is due to the feedback and reviews after handling and seeing the VF-1J and then again ofcourse it is Macross, anyway new pics:
It's a thing of beauty!

Oh yesssss..... Been waiting for this. I was actually thinking this would come out after all the tv Valks were released (a year or two). I'm not complaining unless pre-order day will be the same as Dairugger XV... I'll focus on this since this won't get a US release. I'm taking a day off for this PO.
