So if I read this right, it will be available at hlj and similar JP retailers, correct? Yup this will be available to all Japanese retailers, but be warned the first edition will come with exclusives and this thing is going to be hard enough to get so be prepared lol. Sigh... time to set the alarm again to early morning. If I don't get it, I don't think I'll be as bummed. But if it was the DYRL Hikaru 1S, that's a whole different story.

A Great news. Finally a release i can get excited about.
It looks awsome. I own couple of DX Chgokin Valks one opened and one still MIB ( Green Lucifer... ). The opened displayed one ( i forget the name...) is beautiful and hefty. I forget exactly which parts are chogokin if someone can refresh my memory. Im pretty sure its feet, landing gear frame, and crucial internal structure frames are metal. Are hip joints metal? Please do correct me if im wrong.
At around $200, its a bargain considering much smaller HMR ones are around $70...

DX Chogokin Macross are solid. I own 1 of the 1st version and dont have any complain with it. Rock solid but the neck part is just too short. Anyway this is the same scale as the old Yamato 1/48 with beefier metal parts I supposed. @ 19,440 yen price looks promising, but I hardly doubt its gonna be easy to get one shipped in Canada.

Looks more like a 1/48 than a 1/60 in the video. Though wonder why they didn't state it clear anywhere, going for 'non-scale'? Video description did say something like "about 1/48 in size".

I don't have any DX Macross collections so this will be a good start for me! Yes, I can see that Pre-order will be madness in two days time!

DX Chogokin never have 'scale', I have some, they are pretty solid. I also have a few 1/60 Yamato macross toys, they are great but I do feel they are too "slim" for my own taste. And lacking decal ( there are a few you have to put them on yourself). I am happy that Bandai go with the "1/48" size. Not head to head with Yamato 1/60 version! I feel they can pack more detailings on the surface, as well as better for transformation engineering with bigger size! Let's hope the perorder is not too crazy!

Can you elaborate on what the exclusives are? If its interesting I may pick it up as I was planning on waiting for the VF-1S. And for those who are PO'in DX Chogokin Valks for the first time be prepared for a fight. This thing is probably going to go out even faster than the VF-25S renewal (new record for sold out for me, 5 seconds and gone).

It will come with a adjustable display stand for fighter mode. wtf why would that not be the standard for new valks now... I hope they don't start selling it separately later... That is just extra so when it's in airplane mode, it will look similar to the diecast display models. The normal dx chogokin display stand that is swap-able for all 3 model will most likely be include too as shown in the video. It's to boost sales of course since its a new line and all. And if the line is successful, Bandai will do reissues, but now they can cut cost and not include the extra flight stand.

Pre ordering this beast will be the challenge, collectors, sellers, & hoarders will be on the look out. Plus the fact that I am limited to fund this masterpiece.Good luck with the pre ordering..

I think also that this stand in particular can adjust the roll angle while the fighter mode is in display? Whereas the other DX releases the fighter mode stand is fixed angle.
