Didn’t see a thread for this so I created one. Was at my local Target on Sunday and saw all 5 of the Playmates Classic lions. Although it is no where near the quality of the SOC, it’s definitely a more affordable way for the casual collectors who grew up with Voltron to obtain a part of their childhood.

I wish I can find a local store to buy it in Canada!

Yes sir! The crest lights up when you activate the phrases and when you form Voltron.

It seems a decent figure for a plastic retail release. Not a SOC by any means, but an affordable piece for a casual nostalgic fan. What I like most about it is it is something that kids can play with.

My brother and I grew up with Voltron and though he would never pay 299 for an SOC, he did pick this one up for the nostalgic factor. A huge 16inch combining articulated Voltron for about $110 US

Would love to see this next to the SOC version just to see how similar the looks/size are.

The collectiondx review was pretty scathing as the toy has some shortfalls - you should all check it out. In general though, it's a good value on clearance however, I decided to pass on it.
