Personally I hate the gimmick/transformation of the Spazer.
But the design is very interesting. It's too bad because it's expensive because of it's engineering, but the sculpt is great IMO.

couple of stores mentioned it doesn't ? "各部に合金パーツを多用し、手に持った時のズッシリとした重量感が魅力." Quoted from Sentinel's staff blog. There is diecast alright. Paraphrase as "A good number of areas have used diecast parts, giving it the feel and weight when holding it." Though its Sentinel we are talking about, so keep expectation low on the diecast amount.

I don't mind the Spazer turning into a armor suit but I wouldn't want it at the expense of giving up the traditional docking procedure. Thankfully they give you the option, now I'm wondering about the other Spazers and what extra feature Sentinel will design into them, perhaps the traditional docking forms but then turn into melee weapons or something. I actually wouldn't mind seeing all the Spazers and Grendizer combine into one giant monster ship or the like.

i want to know more like how Grendizer get inside the Spazer ? do we have to take parts off or he goes inside like the show ?
Looks amazing with the spizer

I wouldn't take that initial prototype as the the definitive diecast amount. Most if not all manufacturers create prototypes in resin or plastic and then decide how much metal they add. They use the same molds for both plastic and diecast since they are steel molds. They also receive feedback from distributors on changes. That's why I never take prototypes at face value until I have the final version in my hands. In most cases it works out...

For those who do not like the transformation, you guys do know that that you are not in any obligation to transform it, right? The option is there for those who like it, and for the rest, well you don't need to use it

Haha, yeah. That'd be me!
I seldom buy transformers because I love the design or i love the character. But personally my old brain just cant comprehend the transformation, so I leave them in robot mode.

I'm not a fan of the "transform" thing, but I'm buying anyway, just to NOT transfom it and treat it like a ... spazer

I have questions: - It's got lights and sounds?
- Why are people saying 3? There's Grendy with the Spazer, him without it, and...?

There is LED on the chest, but don't see any mention of sound gimmick. And there are 2 retail versions like you said, don't remember hearing a 3rd.

I had no interest until I saw the transforming spazer. I love that. Makes it truly unique instead of just being another stylized grendy. In other news, I commissioned an artist to make a Grendizer for me.

This one? When I first saw the prototype photos I knew that some Grendizer fans would be divided by it. When I saw the final product photos and the spazer transformation gimmick, I realized that even more Grendizer fans would be divided by it. I made a post on Instagram about it and I have had followers comment that they liked it and other followers that they hated it.
So what about me? being a fan of Grendizer for over 34 years I can easily say that I like it. I may not be %100 sold on the gimmick, but I usually reserve judgement for when the figure is actually in hand. That's when I get to actually handle and appreciate it up close. I preordered both versions just in case I end up not liking the spazer version and selling it.

I preordered both versions just in case I end up not liking the spazer version and selling it. Grendizer is my favorite super-robot and GX-04s is the whole reason I collect diecast robots. It’s a gateway drug that’s cost me $1000s. A few years back there really wasn’t a lot of Grendizer product. You had the SOC which was kind of a b*tch to get, HL pro fielded some weak releases and CMS Corp released a train-wreck, right before they died. Now there is so much good Grendizer product it’s amazing. I already have several copies of the the SRC which I love, with the Spacer and I have the DC version with the Spacer. I realize I am rambling on for no apparent reason than to say I only preorded the standard Riobot copy, I have enough Spacers and I just don’t feel like I need it for the Riobot or my Fewture for that matter. I don’t dislike what Sentinel did I just don’t find it all that relevant and I am awash with Spacers right now. Time and collecting is a weird thing Read more: robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/25152/riobot-grendizer?page=10&scrollTo=412408#ixzz5TaPnUOH1
