This is something I have wanted nearly all my life. Having seen the prototype I can’t help but feel something is still off. Having said that I felt the same thing about mp36 and now I love that figure. I think once this is painted and done it may finally be my ultimate prime figure.
I do think if 3rd party made a new head and legs for mp10 I would be just as happy. I never liked his wheel covers honesty.

A lot of collectors are hating on this new designed. My first impression is that there is something odd looking with his crotch and underwear area and the whole waist area. The abdominal area is kinda small and the diaper as some calls it is big. But proportionally this one is better than MP-10. A lot of collectors has forgotten about the Gorilla arms of MP-10. I guess it’s easy to hide by bending his arms. But side by side comparisons, MP-10 version does look stompy and Sqwat. This new Optimus is sleeker slimmer looking. I guess this was why them third party oversize and remakes made him a bit taller from the lower leg section. Also the whole leg transformation on this new one, the way they hide the wheels and the simplicity of how the lower leg look, makes the figure much more cartoon accurate. This will most likely look a lot better once we see a color test shot and clearer picture.

Yep, The gorilla arms is the worst for me...then the duck feet.
...Then the floaty no neck...and then the minimal diecast.

Can't wait!!! I'm back on MPs!!!! This and MP36 will look very good together, already been telling myself, its inevitable not to release a new prime as MP10 looks so outdated next to MP36. Need some official pics  |

I saw that 3rd party one too. Looks good! I would probably go with the Takara one. I like 3rd party masterpieces but if I can avoid having to put stickers on a figure I will do that since I am bad at putting them on! LOL

Day 1 purchase! Used to collect MP TFs (focused on SOCs, Metal Builds and Macross...)and definitely this makes me want to collect MP TFs again and that MP Hound!
Started by getting MP-39 today - heard nothing but good things about it!
Sold my MP Megatron 2.0 - I need him back, would also look good together w/ Prime
