Visually I think it is fine. I am considering that the TF live action franchise is now old enough to be a new generations G1. I was hoping for a straight reboot, but the trailer was using a voice over from the salesman in the first film. So I am going to assume they are in the same universe. I was more so hoping for a hybrid style that started a new film series, but we won't know for sure until its actually out.
I actually could find some enjoyment in the first few TF films, even though they had quite a few problems. I felt the last entry was a garbage movie even by TF film standards. I hope either this closes out the bayverse before a reboot or ends up actually lending itself to a reboot and we just ignore the past films.

I think a lot of the "general public" has soured on the TF movies, but I do hope this movie will do good so that we can have more.

Grew up with transformers and loved them but this movie franchise just pushed me farther away from transformers to point I hate transformers now and sold them all off.
Putting out plastic movie junk toys that are worthless just made it worse for me. I’m definitely one of those sour ones. I mean those designs are so bad you can’t tell which transformer is which except Prime and Bumblebee. And those hip hop talking autobots just made me cringe. I didn’t watch last movie and won’t watch this one either. Wouldn’t even watch it even it was free on TV.
Would rather watch New Pacific Rim movie then Transformer movie.

Don't dislike the trailer, but don't particularly like it much either. Almost like TF1 all over again, but replace Shia with a girl. Just having Bumblebee as the cute poster boy rubs me the wrong way, since he was portrayed as the weak but relatable character in G1, but they tried so hard to make him the cool sidekick, yet gave him a baby face with a baby sucker mouth. So my image of the movie BB is all weird now...LOL Eventually lost all interest in Bayformers after the 3rd movie, and stopped buying the toys as well.
The only thing stand out is how cool and G1 Starscream looks.

I honestly think the first movie by Bay was enough, toys were decent too. Subsequent movies like this, no thank you for me. Anyway if some toys are great, I would buy some.
