Proportion is somewhat weird. Anyone feels the legs are too short? And the shoulder armor pattern, is that going to be plastic or sticker?

I wonder if part of the weirdness with the legs is in recent Astray designs like the MG and Metal Build, that knee guard has been broken up a lot visually (the MG actually had separately articulated parts, the Metal Build was just a detail in plastic), plus it sticks out further on this design. Quick and dirty comparison: Like other HiRM, it takes a lot of liberties with the design, it looks like a Red Frame that's been hitting the gym and gotten buff. I always have loved Astrays as really sleek units so I'm a bit iffy on this, though I think it executes buff Astray better than the PG. Extremely interesting mechanics highlights on the foot and shoulder blades. REALLY cool detail like the pattern on the shoulder. I REALLY want to support the Hi-Res line since I love the idea of "premium" kits but the design changes are always so-so to me. I'll probably pick this up though, there's enough interesting stuff going on to distract from the chunky design, and if it is full of gimmicks and articulation I'll love it. It'll probably fit in nicely on my Astray shelf and will give me an excuse to make the Metal Build Red Frame use the Powered Red Arms for display. Also, that head sculpt is WONDERFUL.

Greedy Bandai is holding back their premium design choices for "better" product lines in the future.
