As you guys can see, there is no GoLion Moderoid in the works.  This was just a blog post by one of Good Smile's employees.  The translation is kinda rough. But apparently he's excited by the coincidence that Katsuyoshi Marakami  designed, and Popy released, GodMarz and GoLion at the same time in 1981 - just as Bandai and Good Smile are releasing the two models in tandem today.  Go figure.

It's a shame.  I actually thought WEP might start licensing Voltron to some smaller, more unique companies so we could get some different takes on the robot.  Kinda like the KOB... but not bootleged.  Sentinel?  FEWTURE?  

Naa... the license will probably end up back with Toynami.

See my post back on 8/23 on page one. Kind of obvious that Good Smile Moderoid, their model kit line is not going to make a Voltron, at least not any time soon since Bandai Super Mini-Pla is coming out the same months as their God Mars. And about God Mars, I just paid for the Moderoid kit this morning to Amiami.

I hope it's not small like the Super Mini Pla model kit. I really hope this can be at least 9" to 10" inches tall, but I really haven't seen any large scale model kits of Voltron yet so I won't hold my breath.

My guess is it will be around 180mm (7" inches) which is how tall the Moderoid X Bomber Big Dai-X kit is going to be. I'm just hoping that because this is a transforming kit that features the 5 lions, it will be at least 9"+

It does look fantastic though!

i think it have a much finer details than the SMP but i dont do model kits not anymore take ton of time and ton of effort lol

i wonder why they didnt went with hide the lions legs route
