Anyone know anything about the FunHobby Blue Destiny? I'm watching the review in Chinese, will translate some points- 1:52 - points out legs and ankle joints are floppy and feels it is a bad first impression when handling. He even opened his 2nd copy to check, and sure enough, same problem.
3:47 - proportion comparison with the HG 1/144, he feels the HG looks more bulky and balanced, whereas the Funhobby is a bit thin, especially the legs, look particularly skinny compared to the HG model.
5:24 - The LED in the head does not extend the width of the visor, so there is a "gap" from the side view where it is not illuminated, and looks strange.
6:50 - Supposed to be an opening cockpit in the torso, according to the manual, but he could not open it and did not want to force it because it is a painted area. He suspects the paint dried and fused the parts.

I got mine in the mail finally. It is the worst 3rd party kit I have ever received.
The thing flops at all joints and can barely stand, super floppy. The gimmick with the 2 different color lights is cool along with the voice. It also recharges using usb which is cool.

Thanks for the update seanami.
Anyone get the MuscleBear MC Astray Red? Wondering about quality.
Thinking about getting one because I want to display my option kits but buying another official Astray Red is just pricey.

If it turns out to have tight leg joints, it could end up being better than the original 😁

For people who collect these extensively what are some brands that you consider go-to in terms of quality? I've had a pretty great experience with MoShow and Sculpt Labs but only have one of each. On the flip side I got something from.a company called Firebrand and it's pretty rough. Really wanting to get the Metal Club Raiser to finally have a Raiser on display but even though it sells for a great price I don't want to gamble.

The only problem I had was a lot of the points almost being too tight. Especially for WOL. The back pack system on Astray will be simpler so it should be good. My MB destiny did have some minor casting marks as far as defects but to be expected with KOs. I have the non-MC Green Zaku being shipped to me now from Taobao so we will see how that one is.

I also have the Fire Dragon Red Frame which was a tad worse than the original MB as far as the figure went, but literally has the same loose right leg knee joint as the original. The fire dragon flight pack is extremely floppy though. Seen any other KOs on taobao? Oh. The pearl finish MC Strike Freedom has been showing up on ebay along with the sapphire version

Review of the MC MuscleBear blue Frame. Nice box art. With the better joint tightness it may be the better choice over the Bandai release.

I have one MC Seven Sword Red Inspection Color and one MC 00 Raiser Trans Am Color. My feeling is the plastic is inferior to official, slightly softer plastic, and the tampos are not as clean and neat. I got these colors because either Bandai doesn't make them or it is expensive (Trans-Am), and they are relatively cheap by comparison. I think they are worth the price. you get what you pay for and they are not terrible.

I don't do KOs but if they were 1:1 then I would have tried for the savings.

about the MC 00 Raiser what are the differences between the normal and Trans Arm version ? which one is best ? All the blue parts are metallic purple on Trans Am version. Some different tampos as well. That's about it.

and are they worth the 90 bucks ? Very much so. Even the first Metal Club figures are still really good compared to the Bandai releases. There's a comparison video between the original and the MC release. It's pretty close as far as quality.

I had the Metal Club 00 Raiser and the Bandai 00 Seven Swords. It was extremely close between the two, the one thing that stood out was that Metal Club uses the same molds for inner frame on the arms and legs while the Bandai uses mirrored molds. Essentially, you could see some screws in more obvious places on the Metal Club that you couldn't on the Bandai.
