To me they feel different in hand compared to the Bandai. Immediately, I can feel the shoulder armor is softer and has more flex than the Bandai. Def not the same plastic on the older figures. The tampos are also not as sharp and crisp if you look very closely. But it is worth the $90. On display and looking from 2 feet away you can't tell the difference.

I received the MuscleBear MC Red Frame today. I was hoping for the retail package with the nice box I've seen in a couple reviews, but I ended up with a white box version. It comes with 2 trays in 2 different boxes, which are oddly used with some parts of the figure and the flight pack spread between them. For example, the figure is in one tray, while the head, arms, knee and skirt armor parts are in the other tray, and half the flight pack is in each tray. Not sure what the point of this package really is since there doesn't seem to any advantage to it
Other than that, I have to say that it's nearly identical the Bandai original. Joints are good so far, especially on the flight pack, which are just plain better than the original's with little rattling and also tight but not too tight. The only difference I've found so far is the shield has a matte finish instead of the semi-gloss the orignal has.
A few cons I've found: there were a couple parts that seemed to be missing glue: the red plastic ring at the top of the sword scabbard would come off with the sword with pulling it out, and the red piece of the right shoulder armor. There didn't seem to be any trace of glue on these parts so it seemed to be minor oversights. I fixed these parts with no issues. Also, the gear in the top joint of the stand appears to be jammed so I can't change its angle for the moment but I had a other MB stand with this problem and it's most likely some flash in the gear mold so I'll need to open it to fix it. The other issue is the peg that allows you to plug in the flight pack stand into the main base is missing. Not really a big deal since I have 3 other Red Frame stands with the peg and I'll be posing it with its flight pack
All in all, you won't go wrong with a near perfect MB Red Frame KO for $90usd

Thanks for the update jakcrow. I ordered 1.
Also found a review on YT from Prime92. He says the sword fits very tight and he will not be putting it back into the sheath again for fear of damaging the chrome.

Cool, but pass for me. With Red, Blue, Gold Amatsu Mina, I think I have enough of the Astray Frames. And 3 different options for Red - Flight, Powered, Tactical Arms. I'm getting Astray fatigue. |

I have a couple 3rd party real metal Red Frame swords that I think will go well with the MB figure. |

Not visible to me. What is it? Repaint versions of Musclebear Astray Frame. Shows PO for a green version and weird gold version with odd yellow instead of chrome throughout.
The right shoulder tampo still says "Red Frame". Lol. Prob just digibashed for now.
The NG 1/100 kit shows how the Gold Frame should look

Man, if third party companies are going through the trouble to make new products I really wish someone would bite the bullet and make a Metal Build Blue Frame Second L.
I agree with the Astray fatigue, I think I just really want a full squad of Red Frame with Flight Pack, Blue Frame Second L, and Gold Frame Amatsu.
That said, if they released that new Astray Amateresu design, that'd be whacky enough to warrant a purchase. Other than that though, I'm really leaning towards just wanting to display all three in what I consider their definitive forms. I might actually just sell off my Blue Frame and commission a build of the MG Second L to match everyone else.
EDIT: I totally get they're doing the Gold and Green frames because it's a much simpler remold, I was just taking this moment to complain because I'm a complainer.
