Both the Metal Club and Steel Legend Kshatriya looks amazing. If you are going for a display close to the anime, Metal Club is the clear choice. Steel Legend went for a stylized look were as Metal Club stuck with the line art design pretty close. And the binder gimmick for separating the two sections is better. You do not have to remove the funnels and all six are visible. Steel Legend do not complete replicate that look, only three of the funnels are visible. However the Steel Legend has a few engineering elements that the Metal Club does not have.
Foremost is that the Steel Legends' binder arms have locking points were as the Metal Club uses friction joints. I feel those joints would loosen up and sag with the weight of the binders. The sleeves and chest piece look like two separate pieces, no worries about painting mistakes. The ankles have more articulation. Beam sabers are accurate to the anime.
Both look really good and I can't decide which I prefer.

Boys, I don't know what did your ear about this piece, I received mine and I can tell you this.. it really works, if you stayed with the desire of MEDICOM EVA 01 this is the chance to have something very near of that model, in my particular experience Im are very satisfied with this model, isnt the BEST piece ever, but for his price, fill the necesiti very well, and the lights in the base and eyes put a spectacular touch. It's funny that both companies have been working on these for 2 years and yet they release almost at the same time. Just for fun I thought I'd share this. I was lamenting with a friend how the MC Kshatriya gets a lot of things right but the proportions are so off: I always think of the Kshatriya as this low, heavy, and chunky suit, per the lineart: Anyways, some messing around in MSPaint and... I know this is all personal preference, but to me this is such a huge improvement. All I did was shorten the thighs and bring the binders down. It lowers the visual weight of the suit so much. I'm probably the only person who cares this much. It's awesome we have two figures of this design out though.

Yes, both versions are too tall and slim looking, esp in the legs.

Oh, and the other thing that bothers me a tiny bit: The lettering on the wings! "lectronics naheims"?? Cavalier? I get that it's probably a way to dodge copyright issues, but that's a lot of money to have Chingrish tampo printed on your expensive figure.

Can we tell whether this Wu Ming Wmnl company is MoShow or not? If yes I'd steer toward their Freedom over MC's.

Seems like we're seeing a a bit of a shift by the 3rd party manufacturers to unique versions on various mobile suits and figures Bandai isn't going to be making any time soon. There will probably be the occasional KO when the Bandai figure has been sold out, but I think we could see the 3rd party market explode with more and more manufacturers this year.

Yeah, Xie actually mentions that in the review. He said that a lot of manufacturers are discovering there is more profit margin for these figures, and Bandai has not been cracking down on these the same way they've been going after the KO gunpla kit manufacturers. They also just try to stay in their own lane by doing figures that are either substantially different or niche enough that Bandai is unlikely to release. In some ways they're all just finding ways to survive in terms of figuring out the gaps in the market that Bandai doesn't address.

Like when you look at home popular Moshow's 1/72 figures are, which are these awesome beasts of the MB market with unique designs AND great prices. Or their 1/100 00 QANT using its own sculpt long before Bandai came out with its MB QANT. If MC's Kshatriya gets released with all or most of the issues addressed from the preview and nails that and their MB Freedom 2.0, especially the Kshatriya with its Moshow-level mechanical details, I think they will be a big step forward for higher quality 3rd party figures at great prices.
