Some are already b*tching about the art style and how it's "not looking like Streets of Rage", but I like it. Lizardcube made the gorgeous Wonder Boy: the Dragon's Trap remake. This one is looking really good to me too.

I am not sure if any one is aware of this, but a fan group Bomber Games on the internet made a remake of the original ones, they did an awesome job. if you are a fan of the SOR series give it a look.

I am very happy to have finally an official SOR 4. I like the hand drawn animation but I do agree on the problem of the used art style that it is taking it away from the street of rage ! I would have preferred the style to be more like the cut-scenes of Project X game but fully animated! this way you get the awesome 2D drawing but with keeping the spirit of the franchise.

Well I am sure the fans are very nostalgic about the series and wants it to be exact same, yet let us be realistic. It is different times now, different tech, different generation .
Take a look at the Dragons Crown, it was an awesome game and very reminiscent of the Golden Axe Series. (The Megadrive Version)
The new ones were complete trash.

Besides we only got a glimpse of what the game is about.

So it is too early to judge...
