I've been on the hunt for one of these for a while, and I'm pretty excited to finally be able to add it to my collection.
This matches well with my mid-sized lionbot, and once I figure out how to fix the mising right elbow connector - I'll display them side by side. Do you guys think the cheap $25.00 dairugger on ebay can be used to source the elbow connector - I'm not sure it can be made to fit.
Both sides of the box are similar, but one is in english, the other in japanese.

*sigh*I realize it might be hard to find. I'm thinking to display this, it looks like I might be able to take the modern dairugger - plug the top part of the elbow into the the GB-72, can just display it with the KO's right fist attached. I'll just keep the original fist in the box - until I can find the part.
I sold one of these last year for a friend and last time I went back to his house to get more toys, I'm pretty sure I saw a second boxed, but beat up specimen lying around. I didn't grab it because I had a bunch of other stuff, but next time I go, I'll see what he's got.
I was surprised how cheap the bootleg shoulder/head is (plastic) vs the popy (which is diecast). The fit wasn't perfect - I wasn't able to clamp the arms around the new joint - and I didn't want to force it - so there's a slight gap that you can see in the second picture; I happy with the way it is and I don't think I'll attempt to sand it down to get it to fit better.
I won't call out the RJ member (in case he doesn't want to be called out) that referred me to the overseas collector that had this part, but a huge thank you!

So I got the specimen that was at my friend's house. It also has a broken left arm, but the break is at the shoulder, not the elbow. There's also a small 3D printed piece of plastic on one of the legs that allows you to connect the foot so that it rests snugly against the bottom of the leg rather than have that garish looking gap. I'm not sure why there's only one though. I'll try to find out more about that and what price he wants for it. The MIB one we sold last year fetched $400 and this one has the box, styrofoam, paperwork, weapons, etc. but just has that broken arm.
Thanks! That's exactly what I'm planning on doing as well!
I just have to go find time to fetch my mid sized lionbot from storage... I'm still not sure if I want to display him (I've never transformed him before), but what the use of keeping in the box - collecting dust..

KumaStyle.com (TJ): Oh definitely. I think that there are a number of times where KOs do it better especially since they come out later and have the opportunity to rectify stuff the officially made mistakes on,

KumaStyle.com (TJ): I don't know how into transformers you are but the NeoArt Toys Beast Muscle Leonidas absolutely destroys the quality of the original PerfectEffect releases and even has an Eva 01 inspired variant. I try to support the original when I can but I'm not

getterjehuty: yeah I agree with you. Quality should be high importance. I actually love FansToys products. and Yes, I do prefer Fanstoys over takara tomy.a bit controversial but I like the die cast and the accuracy of fanstoys.

KumaStyle.com (TJ): It's a fair statement. The MP official line has been a q.c. dice roll for years and I feel like MP-44 was such a big release that no one could avoid that elephant in the room anymore after it turned out to be a mess but I'm glad the community is

getterjehuty: Isn't the Perfec Effect Leonidas have loose joint legs?
May 4, 2020 16:41:22 GMT -5
KumaStyle.com (TJ): at a point where they are vocal about it... and the PerfectEffect Leonidases literally have a loose everything. Even if they're half decent out of the box they seem to just go to heck sitting on a shelf after a bit and unfortunately it's pretty universal.

getterjehuty: THis is my opinion but the issues of mp-44 are the knees and the paint. You have to be really careful or the paint will scratch. It is near the abdomen area side.
