Thanks! That's exactly what I'm planning on doing as well! I just have to go find time to fetch my mid sized lionbot from storage... I'm still not sure if I want to display him (I've never transformed him before), but what the use of keeping in the box - collecting dust.. yeah, the head of the black lion is extremely fragile. I have two. One for display and one boxed.

Yeah, I have one. My friend said he wants $200 for it. LMK if that is good. Otherwise, I'll offer it up with the rest of my stuff.

Yes, that one. I suggested he ask for $300 but he said $200 was fine. Remember, the left arm is broken and not attached. Drop me a line at nekrodave@hotmail.com if you're interested and I'll send you some pics.
Just curious, but is there a market for those little 3D printed pieces for the feet? I only have the one, but I believe I can get him to make more if there is a demand for them. I'm not sure how many people actually have this toy and would need it.

Hi guys,
I recently met a collector online, and he showed me this rare set of Dairugger.
I have only seen the picture from a vintage sticker album issued in the 80's (bottom right corner), but never in real life. The collector said his father was the owner of the manufacturer, and the toy was a trial run at 50 sets only, mainly used as a prize for the kids to exchange if he/she completes the whole album. I will meet up with the collector later today and take some detailed pictures.

More old pics. Same midsize, different layout. I always wonder, does this variant of mid-size lionbot come with any inner lid like the other variation does?

I met the collector this afternoon, and finally got the chance to see this rare piece in real life. The toy is a litte bigger than GB-72, but with a totally different design. Some parts are made by plastic while some are made by metal. The collector has kept this set for 32 years, and desided to let it go now. Do you guys think this set is worth USD 450 due to its rarity?
The right antenna on the head was broken and missing. No. 10 is missing 2 wheels (#9 on the left is for comparison).

Wow. This is the legendary transforming 6” dairugger.
I just love the fact the the bootleg is an actual *improvment* over the original! Just awesome and rare!

So.... I am about to repair a dairugger that has a broken arm.. but when I harvested parts from a vintage bootleg.... I noticed slight differences in color and quality... I will probably make the swap, but it's gonna bother me...

This is a great thread. Many of these special KOs have been discussed, but its'so many years ago, that the threads & pictures are long gone or hard to find. Thanks to all the shares of awesome small versions of Lionbot and Dairugger!

" HI, Yes, this would be worth close to 400-500 these days, likely. For many collectors, these obscure little "dream" fullfillment projects are one of the last items to track down. Versions of the ST sized combiner used to be found and won for $150-250, but that is long gone I think. One of the last items to seek for me, was the ST sized combining GodSigma for Taiwan, and yes, paid quite a bit for it.

If this really is 1 of just a handful like you say then the price is worth it. You will never see another one. 19 in one I've never heard of it and if I had the chance I'd be 450 poorer. Even if it is broken with ed printing that is fixable . Nice find
