So I invested a hard earned $200+ on a brand new copy of the official limited edition Toei Video DVD box set (#1 or 2) of Albegas direct from Japan. More pics of my DVD set contents are available in the RJ General forums section hereThe fight scenes and robot combination scenes are so much better than Lion or Vehicle Voltron in my opinion. And all the Derinja villain designs still look crazy wicked and hold up even with today's standards. As I've discussed with fellow RJ member S_Gokin, it's a shame that an original Japanese language/English sub was never released for all 45 episodes. Wish we had more detailed photos or videos of the Action Toys Albegas. I'm on Albegas overdrive right now.  |

im glad the arabic dubbed version got the best quality among the releases available online lol
tho i would love to watch it in Japanese with subs, hopefully whoever started the project will finish it

Im still more into the ET version. For me it sculpt looks better. The only thing that worries me is how it is engineered. I know action toys is well known for releasing solid products

the over all sculpt on AT is way better than ET not to mention the quality of AT is also higher than ET
but we like different things at the end
for me even if i got this the EM Gokin will be the best the sculpt is just beautiful , if they release the other two main mode i will go for them in a heart beat

Interesting I assume this is biggest modern Albegas release or is the ET version bigger? Might get this one. Wonder what their DX version of this brand means.

But this looks AWESOME! You can see from this Tag Hobby video that it's completely combinable. And the proportions are great - the huge shoulders were holding me back on the ET version. The hips don't look funky in the video with those side skirts sticking out. Ok, I will be picking this up too along with the ET version.

What retailer do you guys normally go to for action toys? I think I got daitetsujin 17 from amiami, but not sure if all sites carry them? Just want to be ready for that PO.  |

you can find them in the most Japaneses stores
unless if the figures are Fewture direct (exclusive) kinda like Tamashii web exclusive, only a hand full of stores will carry them, im not sure about Albegas tho since the EM Gokin version was tricky to find

when it comes to combining Albegas its hard to avoid the boxy shape but AT hide that very well they also gave it details in some areas
for example look at the feet on AT version
now look at the feet on the ET version
you can see that AT designed it way better (at least in my opinion) even the over all design in AT is better
at the end its a matter of personal tastes and im really glad Albegas is finally getting this attention
