I wish Hikari Pro wasn't such a pain to Toei. I would really love a sequel to the Giant Robo tokusatsu aka Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot but considering how Mitsuteru Yokoyama's children who own his studio now aren't very keen on letting people license their father's characters that will forever hinder me from seeing another GR series in my lifetime (I'm only 20 and somehow I feel old knowing how almost everything I like is older than I am. Lol)

Sad. That is an interesting commentary..... I've always felt GiantRobo series were under released....

Sad. That is an interesting commentary..... I've always felt GiantRobo series were under released.... sorry for the late response over a year after that post and while there's definitely been more interest in the franchise overall and some new things to look forward to from it (like the GABM GR1 and GR2 figures coming soon) I'd still like to see at least a new manga (That isn't related to the OVA) considering another otherwise dead 60's IP (8-Man) is getting an upcoming Cyborg 009 crossover manga. A proper Giant Robo vs Tetsujin 28 story would be neat (there was a 1989 Semi Official Tetsujin 28 manga that did something similar but it and its Apple Box reprint are so rare it's infuriating) or if we are truly blessed from the heavens an anime based on the manga like the 2005 anime pilot. I can only hope...

I've noted that quite a few releases of Anime/ova were coming to Amazon/netflix. That may be our next possibility.

hopefully it would do well enough to warrant a new show
