Three Zero has a re-issue/repaint of this to go with the Netflix series release. Its like 80% the same as the Sentinel's (they partnered), with some minor changes on a few parts, vinyl wrapped the abdomen, and a different paintjob. The best part is, it only cost $129.99, more than 50% Off what these originally sold for. So if you want one of these, but on a budget, now is the time to get the Three Zero re-release version. www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/90590

I hope its not due to a reduction in production quality or something like materials and diecast

But diecast on this figure is very minimal (feet, knee cap, wrist band), so at least that alone is not much of a factor.

- The Threezero Ultraman needs its own thread vs. talking about it here. Please make one (I would, but honestly I'm not going to buy it owning this so have no stake in it.) - I talked to threezero directly because I had the same question about price and was told there's no real reason. The only difference is literally minor paint applications so it's basically a steal.

kuma bro theyre apparently the same figure with just different coats of paint so I dont think needed a different thread, but anyway what's done is done

Two totally different companies and made no sense to have full on discussion about one in the thread of another (outside of comparative purposes which wasn't happening.)

nah I checked the thread out when the suggestion was made. Companies are different yes but the figure is the same so I dont see why we couldnt talk about them in the same thread. But anyway moot point

Companies are different yes. Which is exactly the (non-moot) point. If it were an Ultraman general thread I'd get it, but it was for a particular company's particular product. Consider those looking for information about the Threezero Ultraman stuff, even; why would they think to or have to look through the Sentinel Ultraman thread for information on it? It doesn't make sense from either a logistical or preferential standpoint. It's unfortunate that posting on topic is an issue let alone an argument but it's what it is. I'm done saying the same thing over and over again, though so I'm done with this segment of the conversation but look forward to your thoughts on these Ultraman figures if you actually end up purchasing them. --------------------------------------------------------- Anyways, with the Threezero Ultraman lineup; Honestly there's a big part of me that wishes that I'd went with these because I feel like the Sentinel ones are pretty much done so the potential for Seiji and so on is much more likely to be done with these on top of the aforementioned great pricing. There's a ton of upside and IMO Threezero puts out a solid product.

anyway, coming to the figures themselves. I wonder if figures of the other characters will be made or not as you said
since the base sculpt/figure is all coming from sentinel, so if they didnt continue the line, what would that mean for 3-0? they wont too? will they work with sentinel to make the remaining characters or will they make their own original designs from groundup
interesting possibilities!
comparing the 2 color schemes side by side, I think I prefer the sentinel color scheme more

since the base sculpt/figure is all coming from sentinel, I think that the designs go with wherever the "Heroes" design team goes so there shouldn't be any kind of limit at all as long as they can continue to find companies to produce them!

found him, wonder what is going on with the figure. Is it just the body and articulation hasnt been added yet or will they be using 3-0 style hidden/seamless articulation since this is the first figure designed from the groundup by them. Previous 2 are repackaged sentinel versions.
if he has similar articulation as the previous 2 then im game otherwise skip

This can't be real. These are the Sentinel Hero's Meister figures at a fraction of the price? I'm honestly in disbelief. Ordered from BBTS. Man I'm super stoked

Thoughts?

Yeah. These are really great. Very impressed even at original full retail price. Let alone at half off. While ThreeZero did change a few parts on the figure, it is still very much like the Sentinel release. Though not sure if Ace is a completely new body developed by ThreeZero just for this. The sample in Wonderfest has no articulated, noted in Japanese. So the actual production figure won't be as seamless as shown.

I admittedly don't quite as much like the design tweaks but it makes sense to not have them be 1:1. More than anything I'm glad to see what looks to be a commitment to a more flush cast. Went ahead and ordered 3z Shinjiro Black. Will report back on receipt. Looking forward to it.
