My copy arrived couple days ago. Just had some time to combine it. I didn’t just wing it with transformation and combining like I usually do. There’s couple sections mainly the lower legs I had to refer to Pose+ QR code instruction video. The manual instructions make it more confusing. Especially since there’s couple supplemental instruction sheets with manual.
Here’s some of my observations so far: -I like the ratcheting sturdy joints -The articulated fingers some of the best I’ve seen. -More aesthetic and streamline than SOC. I feel the SOC lower legs are just too bulky. -Like paint and finish compared to SOC. -SOC does have bigger footprint and width. I didn’t want to retrieve my SOC since it’s in corner of my display case and it’s holding Goldymarg. -Pose+ is definitely detailed and of course articulated than the SOC
SOC GGG is still good choice if you don’t feel like paying for Pose+ version.

Great review Kuma. I might just have to switch to this from the SOC version. I love Gaogaigar but the SOC version I have never really impressed me all that much. I just do basic static poses with my figures and even just doing that I never thought the SOC looks good just doing that. It looks awkward to me. lol

Is the lion robot white color painted or just white plastic?

How much die-cast metal is there outside of the exposed metal joints?

Someone was brave enough to take fluorescent markers to their $600 toy, but it does make it look good.

Someone was brave enough to take fluorescent markers to their $600 toy, but it does make it look good. Pretty cool, but I think the person overdid it. The effect is nice, but he added way too much. The green mouths and the oddly painted fingers and some parts kind of messed up the look as well.

I really hope there is a greater range of motion for the Gaogaigar with Goldion Hammer. Like you are basically stuck with 2 poses in the SoC. I hope the stand it comes with if it does have more options.

I'm a lot of the same with the SOC version... it just hasn't aged well to me but there are things I appreciate about it like the more accurate transformation as well.
