I've been tempted to buy the upcoming Jeeg w/ Pantheroid & Marine Parts bundle. However, seeing the QC issues that gunvalion posted above makes me hesitant. I admit I'm in a bit of a honeymoon period with Evolution Toy at the moment because of how well their Daikengo was executed, and I really liked their Future Quest Getter-1. I'm familiar with the 1975 Steel Jeeg anime so I'm invested in the character as well. I keep contemplating on if I want to preorder the Jeeg bundle set. Decisions, decisions. gunvalion , are you going to get the Pantheroid & Marine Parts set? Yes , im going to complete these set since GABM line is playable But in here only BBTS open PO for complete set including the jeeg figure it self (around $550)

Mrclean08, Yeah I know. I own the dynamite action kotetsu jeeg and panteroid and the kotetsushin jeeg with valva. Both are great, full of accesories and the may be the best figures in the line. I'm trying to get a big shooter to complete my jeeg collection. Their gabm seems to be as great as the dynamite action with some improvements and bigger.

I want all of these figures to display like this. (I only own the Getter-1.) I like their large format. I've actually been contemplating on pulling the trigger on Jeeg, Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger Z. I actually regret not getting the Grendizer when it was available at several retailers. Maybe Grendizer might get reissued like the rest. The only thing that has held me back in pulling the trigger on Mazinger Z was that I read there were issues with loose elbow connector joints. But I wonder if this has been addressed with the upcoming reissue, or if its just a straight up reissue with all previous issues present. EDIT: Is that a January 2023 release date I see on the Grendizer placard? This pictures below are approximately $2,500-ish worth after shipping/taxes. Yikes!

Thanks Chen! Good looking out! And it is slightly different as its a renewal version too! I'm preordering this from Amiami! I love my GX-76 SOC Grendizer to death, but for a large format 50 cm Grendizer? I must have this one as well, and have always been kicking myself that I did not pick up the first release. I love all my SOC D.C. Dynamic Classics Go Nagai robots, but I really want all these larger format Go Nagai robots from Future Quest to display. The Pantheroid & Marine parts set has now been released for this GABM Jeeg. My preorder shipped yesterday from Hobby Search Japan. I'm looking forward to receiving this and hoping to have it by the end of this week. Gokin.it has released some photos of the packaging. Interesting to note that the Gokin.it article said that only 200 pieces of this Pantheroid & Marine parts bundle set were produced.

Not familiar with the GABM line. When I saw the photos, I thought it was going to be very big, almost jumbo size. Then looked it up on HobbySearch, turned out Jeeg is only 21cm.

Not familiar with the GABM line. When I saw the photos, I thought it was going to be very big, almost jumbo size. Then looked it up on HobbySearch, turned out Jeeg is only 21cm. They're more in scale with the SOC DX series. This GABM line were never intended to be as tall as jumbo size, with the only exception of the Grendizer being over 50cm. All the other GABM robots are 40cm (Mazinger Z), 45cm (Great Mazinger) to 50cm (Grendizer). Jeeg was much smaller compared to the Mazingers so I think Future Quest/Evolution Toys did a good job of making it in scale with the rest of the line. Jeeg is listed as 11 meters tall, while Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger are 18 meters and 25 meters respectively.

Sigh... I received my Jeeg set with the Pantheroid & Marine Parts. Here are my impressions: Pros:- Aesthetics wise, looks very good especially the proportions on Jeeg and the Pantheroid.
- Marine Parts are made with thicker plastic than the Jeeg & Pantheroid and feels more durable
- Paint apps look great
- The chrome joints really pop in person
- The articulation on Jeeg is nice, especially the knees/legs movement gimmick
- While only 21cm tall, the height of Jeeg is actually in scale with the other GABM figures like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, etc.
Cons:- Everything feels cheaply constructed. I couldn't help but feel worried in handling the toy especially the Pantheroid for fear of breakage.
- The Pantheroid has little to none die-cast elements. It feels extremely lightweight, cheap and fragile.
- The joint attachments for the Pantheroid's legs are plastic contacts and not die-cast metal. They feel like they can easily break after repeated posing.
- Ankle joints on Jeeg are overly stiff and feels fragile.
- Outer box is really thin cardboard which is prone to easy shelf wear or damage.
- While the instructions are thorough and complete, they are printed on black & white paper and contributes to the overall cheap feeling of the toy as a whole.
- Other GABM series figures like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, Getter-1 had good quality. While still lacking die-cast content, they did not feel excessively fragile and cheap unlike this set which is a shame.
- The price is this set is not equal to the value you get. It is way overpriced for what it retails for. I really felt like I did not get my money's worth with this purchase.
- Jeeg lance is completely plastic and is fragile. This should have been die-cast.
For anyone on the fence that is interested in this figure, I would not recommend buying it. I was originally excited for this figure and really looking forward to it since the other GABM figures of Mazinger Z, Getter-1, Great Mazinger and Grendizer were actually good. This GABM Jeeg WAS not. The joints on the Pantheroid feel so cheap and fragile. In this day and age where 3rd party manufacturers of robot toys like what Fans Toys can produce at a lower price point than most Evolution Toy products, there really is no excuse as to why these cost so much. I understand that Evolution Toy is not producing the same amount of volume as Fans Toys, but many of their sets including this set are extremely overpriced. Overall, my impression of this figure is meh. It looks great when you see it on a shelf, but the moment you pick it up, you can feel just how cheaply constructed it is. If I'm grading the other GABM figures a B-, this Jeeg & Pantheroid with Marine Parts set receives a report card grade of D. Evolution Toy/Future Quest, you could have done so much better with this set.

Bummer. Guess the CM's Jeeg still reigns after all these years.

You could always disassemble it, put some lead weight inside and it will give it some heft....lol.
