Man...I almost start to wish Amiami is not going to ship with DHL due to batteries and forces us to switch to Surface Mail at this point, after looking at those DHL quotes...$300 shipping is getting really ridiculous.

Man...I almost start to wish Amiami is not going to ship with DHL due to batteries and forces us to switch to Surface Mail at this point, after looking at those DHL quotes...$300 shipping is getting really ridiculous. Part of why I didn't order this. The item itself is very expensive, and even if EMS was an option shipping costs would still be very high. American stores are probably the best option to get this now. |

Now is no option for these f$#%! hobby to collect and be milking by bandai 🐄 I don't think Japan Post will have all the options we used to have for our parcels sent to use until Covid19 is over (especially since Japan is closing it's borders). Depending on your country, you want something from Japan? Be prepared to pay for Forex/DHL/UPS. I'm okay with paying the courier shipping cost for DX Voltes - call it a convenience tax (albeit expensive), no regrets on getting on release day and having to hunt it down later. If the usual Japanese online shops offered Surface, I would have been okay waiting 2-3 months for it. Personally, I can't see anything on the horizon aside that makes me want to import - Unless it's GX-71 or GX-43 re-issues. |

Anyone received email from Amiami about the invoice? NADA, so tempted to get it elsewhere. AmiAmi is probably sorting the huge amount of orders they got on theyre website. Hoping they can deliver to everyone who had put a pre O. Got a message from Ami2 that shipping this beast to Canada thru DHL is not an option at the moment due to the batteries inside. but they are working on ways how to ship this beast to countries that are affected with the pandemic. The hassle to get this beast is excruciatingly suspenseful. |

It may literally means open up and play with your beloved Voltes with screw drivers  I honestly don't mind Surface Mail if it means the difference from $30 to $300 DHL. I am a patient man. UPDATE: Turn out you can change your shipping method now by just going to your account and "Modify Existing Order". Since I am in US, DHL and Surface Mail are the only 2 options for me. I just went ahead and updated it to Surface a moment ago. While not ideal to wait 2-3 months, $200-300 just to ship the DX doesn't sit right with me. That's an extra Metal Build or a DX valk (with markup lol). |

Did JP stopped shipping to US via EMS due to covid? Cost was around 12.5k yen for EMS For 9 months EMS hasn't been an option not just for the US, but most of the world. New Zealand is lucky they still have it as an option, otherwise you have to use DHL which are very expensive. yeah true, we are quite blessed that we have 0 cases here - EMS JP has been much faster as well! Due to shutdown period here - I'll get this early Jan. Hopefully this whole covid goes away. |
