For those who purchased from Amazon JP and have had your card charged, have you received your tracking number yet? Not yet. I’m pretty sure though we’ll have received Voltes by Wednesday.

I am still on the fence here! part of the problem is the shipping of course but one of the reasons for me is that this release feels less premium than the previous DX releases ! it is less special ! I know this sounds crazy but I can say there is two factors for this feeling (for me at least)
A. the popy tribute package that is very different from what the classy previous releases broughtto us.
B. the details is also a mixture between the anime and the classical popy toy and that is something new in the dx soc line.
this clearly cater more towards the classical popy dx chogokin fans.

I have 2 preorders: One from CDJapan and status is "In Shipping Process". Shipping amount was 10,747 JPY using FedEx Priority. The other is from NY. I'm giving them a couple of days more before I raise hell LOL! I think the updates will be more helpful if we mentioned the destination of the package. Mine is California.

Sounds like all of us ordered from Amiami is going to have our Voltes sitting in limbo/storage at Amiami for a while. Got email notice telling me the EMS order will be put on hold until Japan Post ships to US again, even though Amiami asked me to switch from Surface to EMS in payment request to begin with. Was wondering how much they ask for for DHL, but haven't got a response yet. But almost sounds like DHL is not even an option now, from above menace219's post. I assume if DHL and Surface are both not an option, Amiami's electronic system just default to the normal EMS/Air shipping for payment request, regardless them not being functional/available and orders will get the limbo treatment either way. Oh well...
I'll post any updates if they respond.

I find it wrong that amiami can't ship it surface. I can't remember where but I've read other people (not here) have ordered their (large/heavy) collectables and to save money on shipping they've had it sent via surface. I'd follow up with them but I think everyone is winding down for New Year celebrations.

just got an email from AmiAmi that my order has been placed "on hold for Shipment". They also mentioned: "Please note that suspended shipping methods will be shipped when shipping resumes to your country/region. The suspension will affected the following Shipping methods - EMS, Air and All SAL".
It also mentioned to contact AmiAmi customer Support for alternative shipping methods.

Amiami charged you for shipment costs, put it on hold and e-mailed you? Seriously, surface mail should be an option (depending on your country) given EMS, Air, SAL is not available from Japan Post.

I don't think Surface Mail will be an option from AmiAmi for DX Voltes V because of compensation for damaged item during transit. I got one small item order from them and was delayed until Surface Mail is available to USA (which arrived in excellent condition with 2 months in-transit).
They mentioned, as I quote :
**In the future, while we may offer Surface Mail Premium as a selectable shipping method, please note that we may not be able to offer full compensation in case of loss or damage. As a courtesy during the pandemic, we are providing full coverage for your order for the time being.**
Hoping this pandemic end and return to "sort of" normal (and maybe EMS, Air and SAL will return).

I contacted Amazon JP chat about my order still at 'Shipping Now' status and this is the conversation:
The item has entered shipping process yesterday. We usually ship within 48 hours but it is the busiest season now and it may take linger.. We plan to deliver the item between 12/28 to 1/1 so far and we will email you once we ship the item so please rest assured. Me: Do you deliver on the 1st, which is a public holiday? Uezato: It may before 1st or later.. I am unable to know the exact date I am sorry for the inconvenience...
So I think those of us who ordered from them should be prepared for a delay.
