Yeah Amazon and AJ some of us stayed away from because of lack of care for their product especially toy collectibles. They were one of last sites to sell out because we dont trust them with their packing. Some of us discussed this July in this thread on how Amazon just slaps a label on shipper box or actual retail box and that’s it. If it’s figure you going to open anyways like some plastic Marvel Legends I buy from Amazon.
Or if it’s some dirt cheap price for chogokin and don’t care about package.
Otherwise i personally stick with Toy collectible sites that take care of your items. DX Voltes V is too expensive to trust some kid worker that doesn’t give a crap about your item just want to get it out as fast as possible.

I believe you're the first RJ member to have the DX V5 (albeit briefly). What country are you in and what shipping method did Amz Jp use? I'm in Singapore and typically use Amazon Global Premium which is DHL. Generally speaking it takes one day to ship from Amazon's warehouse in Japan to me. |

Yeah but I haven't had any luck trying to pre-order from Amiami or CDJ so far. I always get page timeout on Amiami's site and for CDJ I don't even see the pre-order listing go live it just goes straight to sold out status. All the US and British big box retail companies now do this. Amazon, Walmart, Target, Zavvi. They treat all products as disposable trash... Zavvi heavily promote themselves as a collectors site but they ship carded figures in envelopes! |

Watching review from people who got it here in the states it’s surprising that voltes is full of plastic? I mean DX chogokin is that! (Metal right? )
Metal in feet, back of the legs, top chest piece and head part is crazy cheap! For $500 without shipping is sad, personally I’ll be canceling mine with amiami. Also shipping is outrageous so I will save my money for something I believe is worth it. To me is personally an oversize gx31... smh 🤦🏻♂️

Just got mine from Amazon Japan and it actually came in a big ass Amazon box stuffed with paper padding. Shipper box looks pristine. I was worried it’ll shipped unprotected like what happened to fishandchips.

I'm wondering when USA distributors get theirs.... Usually about a month after the Japanese release. So I would imagine that another way is to wait for local usa distributor to get this? Or is there a reason why many are still getting from overseas? |

To me is personally an oversize gx31... smh 🤦🏻♂️ sad to say..i compare both DX Combattler and Voltes V but the premium feel of diecast that DX Combattler have is clearly not with DX VV..its more of a plastic feel compare to DX Combi..but nonetheless the paint, joints and proportion are spot on with DX VV. |

Mazinger’s are amazing, combattler was good and VV is fine but some parts/ designs are just questionable (red find in shoulders) Let’s say this vv is amazing displayed in Dynamic poses, I would careless but judging sorely from a video only, seems to me that’s not the case. Looks like voltes spot on but sometimes i wish Bandai would learn something from sentinel or pose+ per say.... have to remain the king? Am I right? |

Got mine from Anime Export. You want real talk? This is way better than DX Combattler V. No paint issues. Premium paint. Ratchet shoulder joints. Die cast content is enough. It has heft. If you do not get this, it’s your loss.
This is a product that you NEED to buy. It’s not a want. That’s how good it is.
Heck, you need to get two copies

Don't cancel your preorder. I honestly think you will regret it afterward. But that's just my 2 cents. I believe you won't be disappointed with this release. I agree. Demand for Voltes V is crazy. You might get the occasional overstock at a retailer if you missed out the first time, but once it's gone the aftermarket is your option. Good ol' evilBay! If you had a DeLorean with flux capacitor, then you can cancel it now and wait and see if there are better options. And then you can rethink your options again!  As far as the paint issues, the ears on the crewzer is a pain in the ass to swap. Kinda scratched the white paint on it. It's even harder to remove the red ones. I understand the retro theme, box and all (still don't like it, compared to other packaging and presentation of previous DX releases), I think I'll keep mine as default white to minimise any damage. |

And that will be my second purchase. |
