Sorry I thought he meant customs fees when writing this since literal state taxes would show at checkout.

As others pointed out, it depends what you mean by "tax". E-Bay will hit you for your state or localities sales tax. But there are no import duties for stuff brought into the US. And shipping from Hong Kong to the US remains the cheapest shipping fees on the planet.
