Looks like bigger scale than Robot Damashii at 22cm tall, now with some metal. If only this is Five Star Stories...

Kind of redundant since we already have the Soul Spec L-Gaim. And we all know Bandai will never ever get their hands on Five Star Stories, just how Nagano wants it.

These aren't cheap either, 18000yen. Would be great if it is an extensive line, but I doubted it has legs to see more obscure releases than the few main HMs. Though interested to see if it will be the straight improvement of Soul Spec's.

I never picked up the soul-spec so getting a L-Gaim with more up to date tech would be pretty cool. All of the hi-metal R's I've bought so far have been good so I expect these to be quality toys too.

The Soul Spec L-Gaim was pretty terrible, a floppy mess that couldn't even hold its weapons without the arms giving out under their own weight. This should be better built, at the very least.

Preorders are up and some already sold out. Grab one before they are all gone if you want an L-Gaim. Wasn't expected to get hyped by L-Gaim, as toy releases came and went. But this HMR might be the one for my collection...and should I "Say MK.2" coming next?

Also found this very good and detailed article about Mamoru Nagano, how he got into fandom and cosplay, which led him into the anime industry and became peers with the likes of Shoji Kawamori, Hideaki Anno, and then Tomino. Started with working on Giant Gorg and Vifram, then doing L-Gaim and Zeta Gundam, connection to the toy industry, then eventually moved on to his Five Star Stories and Gothicmade. Very interesting journey, and shed a slightly different light to his personality, which turn out not as weird as the general public had portrayed. A long but very good read. www.forbes.com/sites/olliebarder/2019/04/04/mamoru-nagano-on-l-gaim-gundam-and-the-fractal-nature-of-the-five-star-stories/#fdd5f196733a

Just letting you guys know that the Bat-Shu is a beast. The best so far in this amazing line. I believe it should have been a Metal Build figure, but oh well.

I was quite surprised by how well these sold, I didn't think L-Gaim was very popular. I mean, I see the Robot Spirits on discount in many shops for years, as well as the Tamashii SPEC. Waiting on HMR to finish those Macross Destroid already and they keep bringing us new franchises
