Mike Harvey went to Wonderfest. He took tons of pix. That alone is worth a look. However Did I mention, Mike Harvey can customize a modern microman in ways you have never imagined? He has seen the best that Japan has to offer and taken this style back with him. Microman Kitbashing to a degree I have never seen in the usa. If you check out his website, there is a complete blog: microotaku.blogspot.com/To pique your interest, here are a few pix: Say anyone know anything about the head on the 12" clear female Figure? The clear hair was really cool. - Guy

Thanks, Guy, I spent ages on this page. Some truly beautiful stuff. Where do these guys get the time? I could do with an extra five lifetimes to do something similar, as well as finish my growing stack of model kits. I take it this Wonderfest is the same Wonder Festival mentioned on the oriental technology site?

Just give it time. Try not to stress yourself over it. In the end the Japanese will always produce more than enough toys to keep your focus shifting. There is always something new and cool out there. Micronaut Collector Tom Vigneau would always remind me to stop and appreciate the toys made in the USA. Having done that, I would immediately try and find a new country to go toy hunting in. (Hmmm must go back to searching Brazil...) Anyway, there are loads of toys out there to be found and even a few in English speaking countries. It doesn't help you to torture yourself over anything. If you still care about the Amazons in 5 years, I'm sure Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger THEY'LL BE BACK. - Guy

Don't worry, my friend, I'm not really stressed. Life would be unbearably dull if I ever got hold of every toy I wanted; what would I browse for on the net? Back in my early, poverty-stricken days of collecting, the arrival of a new toy was such a rarity that the excitement was overwhelming. Now that I'm better salaried, I buy a lot more, and it's a dream come true for me, but the excitement attached to each purchase is less. Thank goodness for the Japanese propensity for churning out all the toys I can't get.
