Are Takara Tomy smoking something? Look at SRP for Masterpiece Hound and now for MP-51 Arcee - 16000Y even though some online sellers are offering 20% discount (e.g. HLJ for 12800 Y)

A mixture of inflation and "because they can." True. "Because they can" is just price gouging when compared to SOC quality (IMO. Also that Bandai is inflating their prices with their SOC re-issues  ). |

Quite all collectibles prices are up since 2 years. All gokins stuffs are more than USD 250 now, like Flame Toys, SOC, Sentinel, Pose+, etc... The unfair price (imo) of those Takara MPs (and Diaclone) is the lack of diecast(just screws and small frame parts). For sure Siege line will have a huge succes versus Takara. Considering for US collectors, you have to add shipping, tax, etc... For my collection, I am buying in Japan via different shops. For MPs, I am using Animexport : they have few MP stocks, but got 30% discount on Takara and Hasbro. Take note that MP-52 Starscream japan preorder will be on october 9th  |

Yeah, the GX-93 Arcadia costs 10k yen more than the GX-67 did so prices have skyrocketed across the board.

Honestly SOCs nowadays have their share of problems as well but even with that, the price vs. what you get is undeniable when comparing the two lines. |
