So....
Shipping has been extremely slow during Covid as expected.
--I ordered from Japan and at first, government shipping was suspended, now, 6/4/20 we see it back online. -- Australian shipping for me, 6/4/20, is not online. Delays range about 3 weeks PLUS to the U.S. LMK if you see other things. -- Europe to US I believe is online. --Customs in the US seems very slow as expected.
Please share if you have more insight or country data. Thanks!

I've really rolled back the last several months in my collecting and so, haven't really had any shipments come in from Japan...until recently...
I had a Gundam FIX Metal Composite Green Zaku on paid pre-order from Nippon-Yasan and despite it being released like weeks ago, they are FINALLY shipping mine after I took up issue with them on the delays. I got the notification yesterday...so, we'll see what happens but so far, it looks like it is en route.
Destination: Canada.

Only EMS out of Japan for me, even then it’s 2-3 times slower than usual and that is assuming the seller dispatches the package almost immediately. SAL have been suspended, while DHL is still the best, it’s ridiculously expensive at the moment, saving this mode of shipment only for the more important items.
Destination: Singapore.

Hi, I have had three shipments coming my way so far during COVID19 times.. 2 of them EMS from AMIAMI and one FEDEX (auto upgraded from EMS with no extra cost) from mykombini. First from AMIAMI was shipped 06/20/2020 and arrived to inward office of exchange 06/26/2020. So it took 6 days to arrive. Then it was in customs for 3 days and eventually released and spent 3 additional days to final destination. Some comment about the package AMIAMI sent with a picture here ibb.co/qN8JfzWYou see the invoice sleeve? exactly the parts where the customs documents were not filling, the plastic sleeve had loosened from the package and the glue residue is all dark brown beneath it as I pulled it up. What kind of reaction would do this? Heat? sunlight? UV radiation? something else? glue residue + corrugated cardboard reaction? Everything else looks good and fresh though including the tape used to tape up the box. The second package coming from AMIAMI and sent via EMS was shipped 06/30/2020 and arrived to inward office of exchange 07/17/2020. Spent 3 days in customs and is now (07/20/2020) on its way to final destination. As you see, this one is quite slow and SAL pre COVID19 times slow. I have yet to receive it in my hands so I do not know much more than this. Mykombini shipped via FEDEX instead of EMS as they were originally going to do and package was picked up 17/07/2020. It has not suffered any delays and was delivered to me 22/07/2020. Destination: Sweden

-Just had another package from the US to Europe arrive..... 3 months later. Oh well, just be aware of the delays!
Miami customs may have been the bottleneck

Anyone know the situation with Japan post? I paid for an order with amiami and it’s delayed cause Japan post is not sending EMS packages to the USA. They ask me to pay and yet none of the shipping option available ship to the USA right now. So they are delaying the shipment. This is kind of dishonest from them, had I know that all shipping method they have doesn’t ship to the USA, I would of ask them to cancel and I would buy from another retailer. HLJ uses FedEx which still ships to the US. Amiami has DHL but that option wasn’t available for me to select when they ask for payment. I’m requesting that they allow me to change my shipping option, or they need to cancel my order and refund me my money.

Japan Post still not available for US. Only DHL or FedEx type delivery is available. Only change I see is more Japanese retailers are having these as options, and they don't seem to be as outrageously expensive as the beginning. Also, HLJ has a new cheap shipping option for small items that is similarly priced like SAL. Just shipped something medium size from Hobbysearch, they allowed me to change shipping from EMS to DHL, and cost me roughly 1000yen more. Arrived here in US in 4-5 days. Not too too bad. But these are not the days when we can save on shipping. You have to expect the extra damage, or just don't order at all.

I got a response from Amiami as to why the DHL option wasn’t available. The item I ordered was the Sentinel Falcon Armor Megaman X. The blaster has a couple of button cell batteries. Because it has batteries, DHL could not be used. I politely ask that they refund me and cancel the order so that I can buy it somewhere else. I had one more order from them, the CCS Gurren Lagann, had to cancel that order to due to this Covid situation.

Got an email from amiami, they’ll process the refund and cancel my order. If I want to, I can order that Falcon Armor Megaman X from BBtS . I need to see if Toy Dojo or The choosen PrimE carries this item. I can save tax if I order from those two retailers and they still have free shipping for orders over $150.

Some observations I have regarding my purchases from various shops all over Japan:
If your parcel posts from the Tokyo area: EMS delayed by one month or more. DHL or other courier services are working as normal (received parcel in one week or less)
Other parts of Japan like Osaka or Fukuoka: EMS no delays.(received parcel in one week or less) DHL or other courier services are working as normal (received parcel in one week or less)
In summary, if your online shop is in tokyo area and you can't wait, dhl or other courier service is recommended. If it posts from other location, feel free to take EMS.
Postage is to Malaysia, btw.
