Good looking out S.! I am too sorry to hear that MPchi. Def QC issue. I hope CCS do the right thing Godspeed. I too played with mine and I also love it. The things bother ME is “squeaky squeaky mouse” shoulder joints and “Zero” external metal….If only he had metal feet, that would have made ME happy. To ME, it’s hard to call something a diecast figure when there NO metal on the OUTSIDE! Mine got those squeaky shoulders too , though didn't bother me much. For a moment I thought they were ratchets as they squeaks and stops, turn out its just very strong friction and sound effects LOL. You can still feel the diecast alright. Stick your finger to the armpit, or put your lips on the elbows, knees and groin. Hahaha.

I have squeaky shoulders too but it doesn't feel like it'll break. I may try a drop of silicone lube later.

Ouch!! Brrrhhhh
Looks as bad as a reconstructive one gets after MOH surgery for a skin cancer on a nose. (So specific but it IS a skin cancer awareness season so….)
Yikes good luck MPchi!
But that’s a good “blown up” break down photo of his head!
Another bright side is that now you have a cool “damaged part” head that you can mess with WHEN you get your replacement part….(sorry just “trying” to cheer you up.)

Dude took almost 2 months for my copy to arrive. Think I’ll pay for shipping for next item delivery with ShowZ next time. Surprised nothing was damaged with it being in transit for that long.
Happy to see articulated fingers! Wont use the two effects trays. One of The side skirt belt piece keeps falling off. One thing I noticed but maybe I’m only that cares about is the Plider doesn’t come out?!! I Kind wish it did. Seems like solid overall piece especially for what we paid for.

I heard somewhere that the Pilder not coming off is actually plot accurate, with the Pilder stuck permanently in the manga. Can't confirm myself as I have not read the manga, but this was brought up somewhere else before. For folks that didn't have a cracked neck socket, still be a bit gentle with it as clear plastic can be brittle, and as you can see it my photo, the clear yellow piece is actually the piece holding onto various head parts. As mine fell apart, so did the head side panel as it was expecting the clear yellow socket to hold everything together, and only has a side tab without glue for the whole side of the head. Breaking the yellow socket means breaking the whole head. If the crack on mine is a bit different, the whole jaw can fall off as the yellow socket is also the hinge for the moving jaw. Interesting/odd choice in terms of engineering, if you ask me. Should have made it thicker and beefier since it serves as the core of the head pieces.

Chogo, side skirts falls Mine too. It was hell to put on to start with. And when one fell out accidentally, it was really hard put it back on. Thankfully the plastic CCS use is REALLY strong. Broke some of my nails taking off crotch panel but nary a scratch on IT. Also the chest piece was hard on my fingers but no damage on IT.
But I now know Zero’s clear part are not as tough… Thank you for the warning MPchi.

i have a question what is the different between the two fist parts (back on the hand) ?
there is a big one and smaller one ? I believe the shorter version allows the wrist joint to have more clearance to do "Ironman blast" palm pose. The default only allows the hinge to flip inwards, while the shorter version should let you flip inwards AND outwards, with the compromise of showing more joints.

Found another thing to watch out for. The wing/scrander connector. While it is pretty snug on the wing end (round), it is not so much on Zero's back end (rectangular). It fits well when you slot into Zero's back, but the slot and the peg were both soooo smooth, there wasn't much friction to keep it locked. Almost gave me a heart attack when I was moving the figure to a display spot with the figure tilted down a little. Within a couple seconds, the wing slide right off Zero's back and dropped on the floor from a 4 feet drop! Luckily it landed on my carpet with no damage, it seems. I advice to add some friction, by simply insert a thin clear plastic film you cut from ziploc or grocery bag as you push the rectangular peg in, making a tighter fit with no slide-out accidents (spit won't do this time, S ). The added weight of the wing also made the upper torso joint (black chest portion) lean back to the farthest, as the tightness of that torso joint is not as strong as the pull of the wing's weight. The lower waist joint is very strong and much tighter though (lower silver waist right above the gold diamond). Use that waist joint to compensate the wing's weight instead, before you try to adjust the upper torso joint too much and get it loosen more before you know it. Also. Those 2 hip side skirt tiny ball joints and connections are not very well designed. Weird to put on, easy to pop off, and way too tiny of a connection. Don't be too rough putting them back on, as there were reports the plastic can get stress marks on the ball peg.

Beautiful pic!! BTW, MPchi thank you for the warning about the scrander sliding out! You weren’t kidding. It so smoooooth~, it glides RIGHT OUT!! Yeah. Little things like this kind of shows the inexperience of CCS Toys in some aspect. That whole scrander connector design is a bit iffy. We have a super detailed figure all over the body, but the connector piece was pretty 'bootleg' looking, with a fake joint and mold lines, like something you expect from a $10-20 toy. And that whole 'smooooth' aspect of the rectangular peg end would have worked if there is some groove or indentation to lock it, or a spring loaded nub if they want to go fancy (what Bandai uses a lot on combiners). It's a clear oversight. The arm blades also get in the way dramatically in posing. Rather than designing the blades rotating on the forearm that let you adjust freely, they made the lower elbow joint rotates, which can look odd on the pose. They could have made the blades all permanently attached to a set of arm rings, if they want the blades very secure, just like how they gave you extra forearm rings with and without holes. In the end, you'll end up posing the arm blades sticking out sideways as much as possible with minimal elbow bend, and just settle for some pretty static pose that the blades doesn't hit the scrander/wing or somewhere else. Having the fake joint on the scrander connector being a real one as a double hinge joint connector would have improved this issue, allowing the scrander to 'pose' and give a bit more room between the scrander and the arm blades. Would rather they spent the money on the heavy diecast display bases of the rocket punch and make a really good & beefy diecast scrander connector instead. A moment ago, my wife was erasing something on a piece of paper on the table where I placed my Zero. Immediately she saw it wobbled and asked "How come that new one wobbles while the other ones standing next to it are all fine?" Then I showed her why by simply slipping through a piece of paper right under the entire front half of the feet where its articulated toes are. There is literally no ground contact on the front half of the feet. The figure is relying only the back half of both feet to stand. I am really loving this figure, and I can overlook some of these smaller design flaws. It is like 95% of the toy is really smart and well thought out, but then we get 5% of WTH that mess things up. Hope they do better next time.

MPchi, there is this one Canadian bro who left a 2 star review at ShowZ. His issue is same as yours, a broken head, the split on the clear yellow part in the head.
He also put no metal count on the external as a con. I personally can’t argue with that. So we are not alone…. As awesome as this figure is, there IS a fatal weak point….his head. Also omitting metal outside is a questionable decision to say the least. As this reviewer stated, metal at the bottom of the feet would have sufficed. ( I mean does Zero ever do any meaningful kick or stand on one leg? he can’t do any high kick anyway with that side skirt constantly falling off). So why not add some weight on the leg. I for one would have preferred that over ton of metal on….base….an accessory base at that.
CCS can not say a material cost as a reason when they lavished accessory base with awesomely large heavy and solid metal…. With ground breaking LED touch and incredible price point, I really believe it will be one of top contender for TOTY 2021 RJ but yeah….not yet perfect. Getting there though.
So here I humbly present THREE points CCS would please consider or ignore on their next project haha
1.PLEASE save SOME metal for OUTSIDE. 2.Please keep “the touch on LED” BUT consider adding USB power “option…..”(batteries drains like a…”no tomorrow”) 3.Please bring back magnet gimmick on the next release.
I DO love no PVC on the robot itself and had ZERO chemical smell. I didn’t have to air it out like some other recent purchases. The figure itself was the “cleanest” “purest” robot I encounter in YEARS.

2 stars huh? That's rough. I haven't got to try the LED with batteries, but I have heard about the drainage, like they packed some powerful LEDs to boost some extra Breast Fire damage, and batteries only last a few days in return. About the feet, I am less greedy. I just want the feet to sit flat , not half of it a millimeter higher. Though sometimes I am not sure why CCS want to go for the Metal Build route, when they are not Bandai. They don't have a 'tradition' to uphold, so why eliminate any diecast on the outside? It can always be a hybrid of metal joints and inner frame, with selective diecast panels on the outside. Same goes for ratchet joints, or the lack there of. USB charging though, that might be a stretch.

late reply
personally on my unit i didn't come across the issues you guys mentioned, the scrander was very secure inside and did not fall out, i also saw a comment mentioning that the scrander put weight in the figure so it start to lean backwards, all you need to do is to adjust the mid section and the figure will be able to stand perfectly
for the legs and feet, it was a bit challenging but after i figured how the joints works and how to adjust it right, it doesn't wobbles or give the 1 leg stand look
1 killer feature in this figure is the eyes even without LED they look bright and normal, unlike some figures that looks dead when the LED is off,
alot of great choices for CCS 2nd figure, i cant wait for shin getter 1, and i hope they will do some other cool robots as well, they have my full support

So much bias (looking at the avatar and signature ) Good that you got a better copy, though those issues I pointed out seem to be common rather than one-off unfortunate incidents, with some video reviews pointed out or showed some of the same concerns, but not all. Just be careful with yours while enjoying it, thats all. And hope your scrander doesn't slide out when tilted down/back. Don't want this to happen to yours (fortunately, not mine).

DAMN….that’s AWEFUL MPchi! Always appreciate your input S. Yes but CCS NEEDS to bring back external metal. I will be back then. I’ll wait till they implement outside metal. Gokin without metal on outside? Come on! Till then, Pose and Action Toys will have me haha. but I’m still waiting on them to release an irresistible robot for ME. Here’s my top 5 for ANY of them to make…(again? *groan*) who GROANED!! 1 Robotizer 2 Groizer 3 Getter Dragon 4 The Dark General 5….Texas Mack (both version’s cool as hell)
