Yup it's real, this was suppose to coincide with the Tokyo Olympics.

This is actually the third life-size Gundam produced, the first two had limited movement but are still awesome spectacles.

Yup this is more like an animatronic puppet then an actual self propelled walking Gundam but I guess the gyroscopic technology to keep something this tall balanced to walk on it's own isn't there yet but hopefully soon lol.

Edit - On a side note robots in the military has already started... kinda creepy though.
