Tis the season for all Cyborgs that go bump in the night to creep out of the cyborg body banks and walk among the current takara toys. At least for one night anyway. Here are some creepy cybo-ghouls just in time for the upcoming solstice! Take for instance the Great Cybo-Pumpkin. Long after Walder has gone to sleep, this fella is glowing through the autumn night. Below I have included everybody's favorite little IMP, the Shonen "Elequebird". Creepy little fella isn't he? Even if he didn't Glow in the Dark, his grin makes my skin crawl. Anyone else have any Halloween themed Cybo postings? - Guy

Lovely pics, Guy! Did they do that mini Elquebird head in clear? It looks like you swapped Shonen Cyborgs chest engine into Blue KWJr's body.
It's the equinox, not a solstice (forgive my pedantry!)

Actually I think we are both wrong, isn't Samhain the actual holiday? That is what happens when you do a posting after being up for 30 hours. Sorry about that.
Elequebird heads - Like everything else, while they are sorta "limited" by western standards, they are pretty accessible in Japan if you want them. Just don't set your sights on one specific color. The Clear colors you are thinking of however were made in a large quantity, the heads as a whole come in a gazillion colors. I have the numbers down in my notes somewhere, if you need actual specs.
It seems like the motto is "You gotta buy at least one" More than than and your cyborg head collection will look like a Jar of Jelly Beans. Both solid colors and clear colors were made, in 12" & 8" shonen heads. Everyone who has been to the shop "Secret Base" mentions Shonen skull heads, so they're either talking these heads or the BxH shonen heads. There isn't a lot of documentation on the subject and I am trying to get a comprehensive clue about what was produced.
Apparently SB must have them for sale. All the modern heads and costumes (birds, bees, plants, bugs, aliens, etc) can be obtained directly from the toy makers. If you contact the maker of the heads, ( have a Japanese friend email...) they are really friendly to non foreigners and will email back with all the colors they have in stock. Pretty affordable and cool toys with a color to fit every cyborg (NHC, 99 as well as shonen and old school cyborgs.)

Oh yeah about the micro costume - I have a couple full size things I have been toying with. I'm still working on the fullsize costume. It is so much easier to find smaller scale accessories. It takes a lot to make big size costumes look cool and not dorky (or seriously insane).
I'll keep you posted on it.
