Suddenly I feel less bad about not getting the 40th Anniversary GFFMC Rx-78.... still, why didn't they just put this under the Metal Build? (since we've had SOOO many Metal Builds that weren't rehashes the last few years, right?)

Wow. Unexpected... I'd like to see how this one scale among MB and GFFMC. It should scale well with MB and GFFMC, the GFFMC RX-78 is approx. 180mm, this is a bit taller at 187mm. |

This doesn't give me hope about getting one easily. The exact release date is listed as 12/19/20 on Taghobby, which is the opening day of Gundam Factory Yokohama, which means this could be an exclusive for visitors of the life-size Gundam only. Rest of us will have to get this secondary market which means +$+$.

Since it is revealed to likely be Event Exclusive only- the target consumer (visitors to the life-size Gundam at Yokohama) may not be thristy robot collectors like us, and the CHOGOKIN brand is more established and historical than METAL BUILD brand. A Japanese non-collector would see "CHOGOKIN" and understand why the price is 20,000yen. |

It's just messing with my Collector's OCD since I really hate having to buy outside the specific lines I collect and there hasn't been a real Gundam Chogokin that's not part of a subset since the Kadou Senshi figures. |

Honestly, I am not digging this sculpt at all, as novelty of an item this is. The head, the skinny look, that knee joint, all the extra paneling on the body...etc. just not doing it for me. GFFMC RX-78 has a way better sculpt and a 10-year-old knee joint design that looks just as good...

I like the design too.
I know some ppl prefer the original anime OG styling but I lean more towards the updated modern look.
Honestly I love most variations of RX-78-2, even the G40 Industrial Design ver.

Man... I really want this, but I'm trying to save up for Pose+ Godam right now, and I'm sure the MB Justice or Ryujinmaru PO will be here in a matter of weeks. Hate to do this but think I might have to take my chances with aftermarket...
