Hello again.
I'm back with more of the strange, the bizarre, the limited edition Collector' club CYBORG toys.
November 11/12/2005 Marked the 5th Anniversary of the CURE toy company and the release of the latest version of the PLANT MONSTER cyborg costume.
Toxic Phantom - the VOMIT version.
It is another Deluxe Cyborg outfit that comes in a Cereal Box.
Collectors were left to only stare at the above photo.
Thankfully, this version does not feature the STROBE effect of the original
Talk about eye strain.
Collectors were left hanging for a month to wonder what a VOMIT COLOR toy would even look like.
Apparently it turns out the vomit color in Japan actually looks pretty good! ;D
Have no fear, the color scheme is just as versitile as all the past releases. It should color coordinate easily with Cyborgs, Walders, NHCs, you name it.
Now that the toy has actually been released, there are finally really decent photos of the outfit that don't require screen shots from the seriously obnoxious flash update animation on the cure website.
It looks to be pretty cool. As per the usual, they will work on most cyborg generations (with a little adjustment) as well as the Obitsu bodies, GI Joes, only limited by your imagination.
This new outfit is starting to pop up fairly regularly on Yahoo Japan, but the prices are looking a tad steep.
The original price was 9,999 yen and may still be available for a short time. I am not certain of the numbers produced, or if it has sold out yet.
Most of the Cure released outfits tend to be a little higher in price than the other modern cyborg outfits on their initial release. After awhile the dealers will break down the boxes and sell off the t-shirts separately, making the outfits affordable to the average gaijin collector.
Anyway, if you are looking for a colorful addition to your cyborg collection, try contacting CURE:
