Take care with your dokuroking reissues, ive noticed that the plastic on the costume seems to react with that of the figure causing a 'bloom' on the surface of the walder body, this renders the section opaque, it can be scratched off a bit but does spoil its clear appearance significantly, explains why they were shipped with plastic sheet separating the costume from body, I also notice that the top of the torso below rear neck joint is prone to cracking on all including the cyborg body.

TRue - I was just discussing this with GUy the other day. It's even worse with the black dokoroking. Ironically the plastic film that they put to protect his arms and legs themselves seem to warp the body, but in a diffrent way. Instead of making it look dull, it actually leaves wrinkle marks.
For the prices that these things go for, you'd expect them to be made out of PLatinum and have lifetime guarantees with free replacement parts!

yes, the QC issues are a bummer, overall the toys are a bit flimsy and now these reaction and cracking issues, to be honest it doesnt bother me that much as they look great which is half the battle, in a perfect world they would be as solid if not better than vintage, i just feel grateful for the reissues atall otherwise I wouldnt have a single walder of any description. AS a side note, the reissue shonen cyborg and walder jr are solid as a toy can be so we know takara can do it when they want.

It seems Takara were determined to make the reissue Cyborgs sub standard, as if to keep the vintage ones desirable. I got the polythene bits back out of the box and reinstated them on the figures when Guyx1 warned me. No cracking on mine, though.
CBC, please drop me an email or a PM. I've lost your address again (doh!)

Yeah, Beware that rubber burn. I initially got my BxH dokoroking just as a black walder (yet he already had rub marks from the start of Rubber burn.) When I actually receive a reissue suit, I can compare it to the original. The original (subform style suits) were always pretty stiff compared to say the Denys Fisher smaller counter parts. If the vinyl has a LOT of squishy give, it can sometimes not be very good to put it on hard plastic. Another thing to note. I purchased the Classic Style Takara Flesh color cyborg head. Initially I wanted to Make a vintage style Katagai, but it was too rubbery. I threw it on an NHC and forgot about it. It took a the blue color right off of the chrome brain! Now I have a colored ring around the neck hole to contend with. NHC figures do have a separate base at the bottom of the brain which is made of a material that will not become melted due to rubbery contact. A heads up: Flesh color NHC heads are a bit stiffer and do not have this problem. (they look like this) Actually for those who pursue this venue, the NON takara cyborg heads have never exhibited any self-destructive qualities so far either. As I primarily use NHC figures, I can't say for sure about the the Secret Base "Skull Brain" and Robot Heads. Those are really soft. I haven't tried leaving them on the repro figs for an extended period of time. I'd use caution there... A nice strip of Mylar plastic (IE strip from a comic book bag) taped to fit around any neck joint will always be helpful in the long run. - Guy

I also notice that king walder reissue weapons also react with arm plastic leaving a little melted ring around the arm, vintage weapons dont seem to have any affect.
