I wonder that myself. The protruding disc on the lower leg is there to utilize it as a button but Bandai chose not to. The SOC team chose to disregard it.
Please Check out the video at 13 min mark for “the knee issue” the reviewer is further referring to.

They could have designed a clip/button but they didn't Wonder why Monks have pondered similar questions for ages. Time and again they have come to the same conclusion: the reason the universe itself exists, all of time and space and living things, is to create the perfect gokin robot. If ever anyone did design a truly perfect gokin, reality itself would break, and the universe, having fulfilled its purpose, would collapse in on itself in a swift and terrifying cascade of shattered existences.
And so, being a superstitious lot, gokin designers never fail to include at least one flaw.
Philosophers call it the Recursive Gokin Perfection Principle. Personally, I don't believe in it, but many do. That's why we have to put up with these shenanigans.

One of my very favorite reviewer.
He LOVES the heft!! Says you should experience him. He says he is getting a "Pose+" vibe from it WOW! What a compliment! He def recommends this piece.
But One of his knees are looser then the other. He is concerned about plastic knee joint as he thinks the joint material feels(?) Not as robust as it could have been.
BUT alas, he also worries about the knees unintentionally collapsing due to the sheer weight of diecast upper boddy.
He also shares wonderment of how and why Bandai left out a simple pin to secure the knees....
Looks like knees are it's "Achilles heels," a weak point.

Hopefully the knees don't become another Ideon shoulders.

I would love to get some of the classic Tokusatsu mecha at around the same size.

Wotafa put it next to leopardon and battle fever robo, also (from What I get from my por japanese) said he was excited about getting Daidenjin on the same size (I guess he was talking about ET daidenjin and denzitiger set). We are getting a nice toku armada in this scale (although when it comes to sentai I don't care a lot about scale since toys and show tend to have very different scales)

Daileon just arrived for me today and I am very impressed. This guy is heavy! Lots of die-cast and feels like a true gokin. Paint finish is excellent and feels really solid except for the aforementioned legs. They do tend to collapse a bit, but he does stand and pose quite well. I would highly recommend this one if you feel so inclined. And as for us Canucks, it is now available on Amazon.ca. I ordered another one, lol.

Thank you for your review gc8!
I welcome these characters to SOC. Very glad Bandai is giving attention to man in suit characters in SOC line. Hope mine will ship soon. Bandai def is being called out for design flaw on his knees, but pros out weighs the glaring cons so much I had to order one.
They are so~ awesome in EVERY sense.

I really like this Japanese reviewer. He makes a lot of effort and includes some English subtitles. Give him some support so he'll continue to make more videos.

Hahaha satan gose looks cool... Bandai seems to be releasing duos: daileon/ Satan gose, daitetsujin 17 and 18. Since they are going the guys-in-a-suit way I'd like to have a big Dai X.

That’s a good point.
Good going Bandai SOC team! keep up the good work.
Now they need to work on to include damaged parts accessory AND alternative head… Better clicky joint quality will help too. Bandai, Don’t be embarrassed to research Sentinel’s Fighting Armor and Hagane Works’ Mazinkaiser’s joints. How they do it? They used to be second tier. Now they’re better then the 1st tier.

I've been watching Juspion in anticipation of this release and digging the show so far. One thing that jumps out about Daileon is his huge fists that don't need to be that big for the man in the suit. GX-97 ought to have a set of oversized fists like the big green dukes on GX-96. A bigger head would complete the look and be an incredible option.

Did anyone here in the US happen to order Daileon through eknight and, if so, have you gotten yours yet? Thanks!

Did anyone here in the US happen to order Daileon through eknight and, if so, have you gotten yours yet? Thanks! I have yet to get any of my preorders that were supposed to be released last November. I am still waiting on my Goodsmile Thunder Gridman.

Daileon has not shipped from any US shops yet. The shipping delays are a global issue, not just in the US. Less shipping containers and ships overall due to crew shortages. It used to be 1 month delay from Japan release dates for US distributors to get their shipments from Asia, but now it' expected to be 2-3 months. My P-Bandai orders have been on a 2-3 month delay schedule, my Good Smile US preorders have been delayed 2 months on average.
