Okay, I'm down for this. Let's see the price tag when it's announced.

Bit bummed about no diecast, but at least it is "affordable" for the size.

Could it mean there is a difference between Japan release vs US release? BBTS listing says plastic only ShowZ too

Usually there is one or two metal parts hidden deep inside. Masterpiece is not a diecast line. Sad but true.

This looks so nice. Big and chunky! Almost a playset sized. Given the convoluted history of the original toy & character, it's Hilarious how they've kept the Valkyrie/Veritech nods added into the design and ad, LOL!

Looks very "plasticky" to me IMO the last great set of die cast Transformers were the Binal-tech series. Still love my BT Subaru Smokescreen.

Looks very "plasticky" to me IMO the last great set of die cast Transformers were the Binal-tech series. Still love my BT Subaru Smokescreen. Love it in vehicle mode, not so much in robot mode (even though that's how it is displaced this whole time). A little oversized, but still fit in decent with the rest of my MPs. But yeah, haven't bought any MPs for a good while. This Skyfire is no exception. It will take a lot of innovations and ground-breaking to get me back into the MP line again, unfortunately.

Looks really good. But I don't trust Takara whatsoever, especially after MP44 Optimus knees, and Starscream & Hound's brittle plastics.
I'm happy with my Fans Toys Phoenix.
